It's just waste of time to make assumption and explaination in HEROES since no one ever be able to guess why and what will happen next in HEROES, that's why it's so special. You will know once you watch it ... making assumption and explaination are only trying to convince oneself to not to think about the next episode ...

Since when it's mentioned that the blood of Adam has continous effect on the people injected it with? In the comic, Adam said he used his blood on his wife, but his wife didn't have the self healing ability like him (she didn't live forever like Adam).
