Peter has discovered what is destined to happen if he doesn't stop the Shanti Virus from being unleashed, but how did it get to be that way? Meanwhile, Takezo Kensei's appearance in the present, under the name of Adam Monroe, brings up more questions than answers. And what exactly happened to D.L. at the end of the Season 1 finale? All the answers are promised in next week's episode, Season 2, Episode 8, titled "Four Months Ago". As the title suggest, we will be journeying backwards in time, to the end of "How to Stop an Exploding Man", and see how our heroes got to where they were found at the beginning of Season 2.

The plot description:

When the clock turns back four months for all of the Heroes, Nathan pays a terrible cost for his heroic actions. While Peter survives his detonation over New York City, the Company "bags" him as a threat to the world, eventually leading to violent confrontation with Elle (Kristen Bell) and the Haitian (Jimmy Jean-Louis). D.L. (Leonard Roberts) makes the ultimate sacrifice for Niki (Ali Larter) and Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey). Maya (Dania Ramirez) horrifically manifests her dark powers for the first time, driving her and Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) to America for help. A mysterious, yet familiar face is introduced.

After missing out on last week's "Four Months Later" flashback (except for a brief, second-long cameo, which doesn't really count), Claire and HRG returns in "Cautionary Tales", which promises the long-in-the-making confrontation between HRG and his former bosses at The Company. The question is, whose side will Mohinder be on when Bob and Elle come for Claire? And if Isaac's paintings are any indication - in particular the one with Mohinder's smoking gun and a dead HRG - things will get very, very bad for our fugitive family in hiding.

Plot detail:

Convinced that the Company is close to finding them, H.R.G. (Jack Coleman) prepares the family to run - but Claire (Hayden Panettiere) has other ideas. Meanwhile, Hiro (Masi Oka) returns from the past and learns of his father's death. Grief-stricken, he flings himself into past and makes a stunning personal discovery. After a charged first encounter with Elle (Kristen Bell), Suresh (Sendhil Ramamurthy) makes a decision that could change lives. Meanwhile, Matt (Greg Grunberg) struggles with his expanding mental abilities and Maya (Dania Ramirez) and Alejandro's (Shalim Ortiz) relationship is tested as they travel with Sylar (Zachary Quinto). HRG is dead - well, sort of. Claire is mourning. Peter and Hiro finally comes face to face for the first time since the Season 1 finale - Peter is on a quest to once again save the world, this time from the Shanti virus, while Hiro is on a quest to avenge his father's killer, Adam Monroe, aka Takezo Kensei, aka Peter's new friend. Allies will become enemies, enemies allies - WHO YA GOT??? Thanks to the writer's strike, this is the next to last episode of Season 2, so expect a lot of fireworks in preparation for the Season 2 finale the week after.

The Plot:

Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) travels to Primatech Paper in Texas with his new friend to destroy the virus, which will kill 93 percent of the world's population in the future - or so he believes. Niki (Ali Larter) returns to Micah (Noah Gray-Cabey) with bad news. To right a wrong, Monica (Dana Davis) puts her abilities to the test while Hiro (Masi Oka) goes after his father's killer. Meanwhile, Matt (Greg Grunberg) uses his mental abilities to track down the last person in the company photo. In addition, Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) learns his brother is alive. Outside of New York, Maya (Dania Ramirez) must choose between Alejandro (Shalim Ortiz) and Sylar (Zachary Quinto).

It's all been leading up to this, and thanks to the Writer's Strike, this is all we're going to get out of Heroes Season 2 for the foreseeable future. Episode 11, "Powerless", marks the show's "Fall Finale" (and if the strike continues, it's final episode of Season 2), and features a battle between Peter and Hiro and, if all the spoilers we've heard are correct, Nathan and Matt versus Adam Monroe, with a little of Elle thrown in for good measure. Plot description:
