I been busy lately and tonight when I login to internet, I have a surprise. I keep getting 100.XXX.XXX.XXX ips when I login to the router status. But the funny thing is when I check speedtest, the public ips isnt 100.XXX.XXX.XXX.

Is the 100 ip address the new private ip address like 1.X.X.X ip address?

Anyone using streamyx and unifi broadband can check their router status and let me know?

100.x.x.x ip is your local ip or public ip? public ip and local ip is defferent thing. when you do speedtest the public ip will be show not local ip.

is your router shared? if yes does anyone else have access to the router? if you have access to the router itself then you can go in check the local ip range set there.

The 100.x.x.x ip only showup on my router status tonight, no matter how many times I disconnect/reconnect. I wasnt online these couple of days, but previously the router status only show the public ip address eg. 175.x.x.x,118.x.x.x,124.x.x.x,218.x.x.x,6x.x.x.x,115.x.x.x etc.

I'm the only one using the router and the computer, I even disable the router wireless access. No setting of router been changed since about 2 years ago(cant remember the exact time).

I'm sure the 100.x.x.x only happen these couple of days, since I was online a couple of days ago doing some banking stuff especially opt out the duitnow stuff. That time I check the router status was showing public ips all the time.

last week i still given public ip

no wonder this few days internet pelik pelik one, suddenly no internet for few mins then back again, and happen again and again.

I tot adsl disconnected, but check router log no problem pulak, tot is google dns facing problem, tried to change to cloudflare dns still same.

At first I see 100.x.x.x thinking must be new public ip address but seem so slow, so I try disconnect/reconnect alot of times but still getting the same 100 ip range. And also its really slow, sometime stuck while googling, not to mention browsing here too also stuck alot of times. Anyone can figure out how to get back the public ips?

100.64.0.0/10 address block? this is private ip

just tell them ur cctv is not working, so they will assign public ip to u.

It's not like they are going to ask you to provide proof that you have a CCTV system

Coz last time I complaint alot of times of broadband breaking down, they already change the wire outsite the tiny house and also change port alot of times. TM people here knows people living in this area, all tiny houses, one look also can tell, nobody put any cctv here. That maybe the reason they dont want deploy unifi boxes here. Near my area, big houses already got unifi boxes deploy very long time.

Same thing happen to me also, still in progress.

100.x.x.x is public IP range la....
10.x.x.x is private.

TM livechat already said its private ip, not public ip. You can even ask them to check for you either through TM livechat or via calling 100 hotline staff, as long as the router is still online and connected to the internet.

Or you can check yourself by logging into the router(some people also called it modem), you can see the the router status, both IP address and Gateway column showing 100.xxx.xxx.xxx.

Oh wow. 100.64.0.0/10 was designated private in 2012. Figures...I took TCP/IP in 2002.

I only notice the change to 100.xxx.xxx.xxx about two weeks ago.

When did yours get changed to 100.xxx.xxx.xxx?

Mine is still public IP. Not in 100.64.0.0/10 range.

missed 2 calls from tm just now

few minutes after then received an email from tm, inform issue has been rectified.

immediately i restart router

now my assigned ip is 118.101.**.***

tested port forwarding no problem

I tell them I play game, need to host, they still act like not understand about that.
Actually I got FTP server but I don't know they allow FTP server reason or not so I say I host game but no answer back yet.

ok. Can you tell me why CCTV need public IP? I ask this just in case the support ask me about it so that I can explain to it. I not so familiar about CCTV things related to public ip.

Hmmm, if I ever get a CCTV install, I'll let you know. But the reason I stress CCTV reason as advised by others here in other threads too is because only CCTV reason, they channged your private ip to public ip, whereas all other reasons failed.

CCTV need public IP to be accessible via the Internet. For technical reasons, if it is private IP, you can't access the CCTV as it is NAT-ed behind the ISP upstream router.
