Getting Started

I am not sure if I have come to the correct section of the forum to ask for help.
Basically I have zero experience as to the whole operation of a youtuber business.
My plan is I wish to upload video of myself talking on whichever topic that I feel like discuss and sharing. I like it to be interactive, so that would be cool if I can interview or discuss anything on screen as well.
The thing is I wish to get to know people that have some experiences on editing of videos and making them. I wish we could form a team and work on something together.
Of course I would learn from to edit videos and the other necessary skills and we could all contribute our best ability to make some good videos and influence the world in a positive way.
Maybe it all sounds too idealistic. I have no idea where to find these people that could form a team with me.
Kindly get back to me and I can't wait to talk to any of you.

IMHO "whichever topic" is probably not a very good idea. You need to pick a topic and specialize in it. Subscribers will expect the content of the same topic. For example, if you do a food review, ppl will subscribe and expect you to do more food reviews. It'll be weird if you're suddenly talking about politics or gaming.
What's a topic you are passionate about?

Good luck writing good content to satisfy at least half YouTube regulars. Not a good idea imho. When people watch YouTube, they expect inspiration and creativity. And some maybe just gonna stream music or stream movie. Your personal experience has to be super awesome, otherwise you are no different than most of the failed vloggers or those that make 2-3 travel video in a year.

most youtubers edit their own videos.. Even casey neistat also edit his own videos..
You should test your market first.. make your own youtube, edit your own video. Simple editing should suffice. Once you start generates more subscribers, then after that, you can start thinking of looking for partners..

Regarding camera and equipment, you don't need to splurge a lot. It's always great to have high-quality video and audio, but the content is number 1 priority. That being said, audio is more important than video, so invest in a good microphone before a good camera. So personal experiences relating to LGBT rights? It's not a "bad idea" per se, it depends on how you present it. If it's just ranting about how someone didn't treat you well that one time, probably not so interesting. Maybe get some ideas from the LGBT community to figure out what kind of videos they would want to watch?

QUOTE(AlphaNexer @ Nov 4 2018, 02:34 AM) What's your channel name? I haven’t even started my a separate channel form my own that is use to watch video. I don’t know where should I start with. A channel without video is kinda pointless.

I just wish I could do something to defend lgbt are humans too. Yet I couldn’t find where to start with. I have a hectic schedule now as an intern. When my internship is done I would I could start but then now I wish I could plan an idea first.

I'm not sure if LYN has an LGBT thread? Maybe you can start one too hehe.

Join production team under youtuber or local public figure, gain experience first. while working, make your ur own video.. slowly improve and get more subscriber... then from there slowly upgrade ur camera and equipment.. most of malaysian youtuber work in this field did the same. youtuber as side income or hobby + then main job production related job
