This makes me think about Fundmyhome, if bank value 560k, and it is owning 80% share, then the 20% share buyer desperately wanted to sell after 5 years, stuck there for months to years only?
*
Few daysago, Khazanah already warned govt that Fundmyhome was not designed for 20%-80% as mentioned in Budget 2019..

As long as more than FD, and more or less same with EPF. We don't really have any better RISK FREE investment.

But if you took risk, then it is entirely different story. Given risk is lose all the money, the best return in recent years is cryptocurrency, easily 100x return or more if you are early buyers.
*
main trick in high risk investment is realized vs unrealized gain...if u are not good in realizing ur gain at right time...next day all might disappear bye.gif

imagine during crypto at usd20k...let say unrealized gain was 100x...but today maybe only 20%....

greedy always will overcome ur smartness devil.gif

in low risk investment like ASNB, FD and EPF...we not need to deal with greedy

If u did the study or have some knowledge in trade markets, REIT is different from ASTRO.

Also SUNREIT for instance, its capital is relatively stable with consistent dividend payout.
*
Just trolling before bro smile.gif lets come to serious business...

Yes agree REITs is consistent dividend around 6-7% dividend (at current DY rate)...but as u mentioned the capital stable becoz usually not much price movement...so on that point...i still prefer to buy ASNB since ASNB capital much more stable (fixed NAV 1.00) at consistent DY 6%...lesser capital risk but similiar return..smile.gif

ASTRO, is off-topic here...so I reserve my comment why i’m buying this week...but i aware the capital risk is high.. sad.gif

My humble 2cent bro smile.gif

Having withdrawal option..will make MyASNB more vulnerable and need higher security level eg 2-level authentication...and need more dedicated team to maintain the security and hacking..all are extra cost...

I’m doubt ASNB will spend more this...

Huh? Now not 2FA already? Need username, password + TAC for transactions isn't it?
*
They using third party 2FA service FPX for top-up...but for withdrawal, I think ASNB can’t use third party service...

Anyway like many, me also don’t want to have withdrawal..me itchy hand also..he he

Dear all,
Appreciate your opinion for below:

Let say one student have PTPTN loan RM 28k.

Option 1 :
Take 20% full settlement discount, and pay RM22.4k (28k - 20%). End the story.

Option 2 :
Don’t take 20% offer, but Invest that RM22.4k in ASNB now, for next 15 yrs. But pay RM28k loan @ 1% p.a. interest, for next 15 yrs.

Appreciate your views.

Thanks & Regards,
