wau........thermalright even come out with a tower heat pipe casing, wander how much they will cost...........
seriously i think it a good idea for silent setup, u just need a few large and slow fan to do all the necessary cooling only |

QUOTE(LittleLinnet @ Jun 5 2007, 01:40 AM) Arent those Zalman TNN series are with heatpipes? Well, this had been posted here before :http://www.zalman.co.kr/eng/product/code_list.asp?code=020 http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=11889833 Not sure where it supposed to belong though because it seems it can be in both places..LOL.. Anyway, Yes, Zalman TNN series is using heatpipe as well. But, the heatpipe here is to contact the proc and the body of the casing to spread the heat via the casing. As far as i know, those heatpipes are only for sale seperately from the casing. Besides, i have asked the price for the TNN 500 before. Cost almost a bomb Rm2k last time in Spore. |

Its a great idea, especially for portable, weather resistant systems (no fans to suck in rain or dust. Now, if only I could adapt a PSU to take in power from a SLA battery, I could have a highly portable video editing system-no need to wait until I get back to start editing.

Not sure about thermalright though but trust me, there is no portable when it comes to the Zalman..LOL..From the last time i research about it, it weighs around 30KG. However, it does come with wheels for you to push it around..LOL.. |

Interesting concept for the fanless radiators. At least they are on the right path with tubing size (looks like 7/16") and I see a 50Z and DDC pump with a custom delrin top. I guess it's only a matter of time as they'll improve...

Thermalright always does not come with a fan so that the user are able to choose them seperately according to their liking..QUOTE(vixxiee @ Jun 13 2007, 04:30 PM) Yea, the good thing is that you can choose your own fan. There wont be any complaint about it being too noisy or too slow. The bad thing would be, you will need to spend extra to get another fan and to be honest, good fan does not come at a cheap price.. |
