Can we reload Alipay with rmb here & use there without problem (including in-app didi etc)?
I don't have it linked to any bank card. I just paid someone to reload rmb for me.

Blofeld Credit cards are accepted in China.
Do mentally prepared that even though you see that the particular merchant has a card terminal machine, it may only accepts UnionPay (银联) but not VISA / Mastercard.
So it's better to ask the merchant's staff whether they accepts VISA or Mastercard or not first.

If you're going to use a Mastercard, and the staff don't know or never heard what is Mastercard, tell them it's 万事达卡, which is the Chinese name for Mastercard, or show them the Mastercard logo on your card.  sweat.gif

eWallet payments (Alipay and WeChat Pay) are much more commonly seen everywhere in China, compared to card payments.
For merchant acceptance sake, it is highly recommended that you install the apps, set it up, link it with your bank cards, and make QR payments there. No topups required.
Do note they (Alipay or WeChat Pay) will charge 3% foreign transaction fee if you make more than 200 CNY in a single transaction. As long your transaction is lesser than 200 CNY, then no extra fee.
Alternatively, you can use Touch n Go ewallet to scan their Alipay QR codes as well, although the exchange rate won't be as attractive as VISA/Mastercard's 0% bank fees.
Otherwise, use cash then.

Outside Shanghai, Beijing and Guangzhou, most places include hotel don't accept visa or MasterCard.
