@ kingmax,

i dont think the mousepad is too much to the left. In fact i think its cool, its Alienware-ish. and yeah, the numpad make it move a lil bit to the left.

its sad to see alot of mesian waiting for these. Ppl here dont even care, there were Dell booth outside class and no one bother to look. The worst thing is, if ppl from the US starts ordering m1330s now, it is assembled actually in Malaysia. Made in Malaysia, but they got it first. wtf

I have seen the price, thats what i was talking about. Its even cheaper than that in the US. They have the price > 200USD? that is like what? RM600++? what is that man, they assembled XPS in Malaysia even if u bought it in the US. My fren waiting for his XPS that assembled in Malaysia, he said like hey my XPS is made in Malaysia pretty cool. I said in my heart F me pretty cool it is not cool at all, the most they shud charge is like 100 USD not > 200 USD.

Eiraku calm down man i understand. U see my m9750 thread? Thats how i feel. If i waited long enuf i shud have been playing my CoH, STALKER everything in Dual Core + SLi notebook. But again in XPS m1210 thread i told u right, keep it cool man i understand. I dont have much problem on that, im more depress with this extra RM600 that i still dont get where they charge us for and from.

Ok im done with this. Have to get back to my game. Later guys.

Hint: the more we wait, the more inferior our system will be. Enjoy before it lasts. 8600M is hot now, but not for ever.

@Eiraku,

sell ur XPS and get a new one.

@dahfa,

i dont think so. Dell's only available for online purchase. They are bout to go retails, but that's at Wal-Mart. If only u could find Wal-Mart around u..

and thats actually how they cut keep their costs down, supply-chaining. In fact they are one of the best in that field (Same goes with Wal-Mart).

I suggest u give them a call and ask what is the best offer than can give.

i have seen the pics u posted.. it's look pretty cool. and looks a lot like Alienware's m9700 & m9750. Not exactly the same but the display screen, speaker, and especially the mousepad dang that's look exactly like it. Overall pretty nice design. Not a typical classic Dell's anymore..

There is no coupon issue out for the moment in Malaysia.I'm quite sure there'll not be coupon later.Their market offer at other country such as US citizens are free sudent package and EPP coupon whilst Asian or Malaysia are free hardware upgrades and free redemption.
Don't forget , US will have 8% tax into every laptop and their tech service is base on US which means the price would be higher than malaysia's price.

Vostro cannot compare with Insprion.Vostro is business use while Insprion is for home user.Material is different , and the service & application offer by Vostro are more than Insprion.

alfianzuari79 , please customize it again , I found out there's some mistake on 1520 that you had customize.I'm pretty sure you forgot to add in the Microsoft Office Home & Student 2007 application.It wouldn't be the price as you mention  smile.gif

haha pity u. Yeah it does turn me off. Read my sig. That explains why.

Added on July 13, 2007, 5:19 amADDED: the 15.4incher in the video shown is Dell's 1520. When a 17incher SLi-ed notebook can be thinner than a 15.4incher, that's definitely turn me off.

p/s: As it shows in the vid, when compare it side-by-side, m9750 is thinner than 1520. But as it goes toward the middle of m9750 is slightly thicker than 1520. So, relatively it's considered as the same height. If u wonder why it is slightly thicker in the middle, it is bcoz the wiring to lit the Alien Head so that's why it is slightly thicker. Without Alien Head, it will be absolutely thinner.

i cant stand it when poeple condemn dell for delaying the order...wat do u expect....?

u c...dell just launch this new design Worldwide....n so the demand is higher than they expected...
sommore, they built the notebook base on buyer specs (unlike other brands which is the spec come in is standard) this overwhelming respond...of cos will take some time...unless u buy this notebook in the next 3/6months time after launch, i bet u wont suffer the delay problems....
if u really want to cancel the order..up to u lar...but if u insist to wait then try to negotiate with ur SA....maybe ask some freebies...
n let say the current offer turn to be cheaper then the 1 u ordered b4...ask for refunds! for the god damn sake its under 14days satisfaction warranty! there's forumer got refund for this cases....just freaking negotiate with ur SA.....

i am not dell die hard fans like sm of them...it just, its freaking annoying laa... sweat.gif

@kimhoong
the optional graphic cards is always better then the integrated 1.... smile.gif

Hi,

My gf has order a Dell(tm) Inspiron(tm) 1520 last two weeks. Her order has been delayed for 3 times!!! I called the customer care and the officer there told me that they have ran out of color cover (my gf's choice is Flamingo Pink icon_idea.gif ). The officer then said, the production site has order a large order of color covers and it will arrive on 20/7. So, the order will only be done by the end of this month. My gf is furious about it because such a big company should NOT face cases like shortage of production material.
What makes things worse is that Dell is having a promotion this week for FREE DELIVERY for the same model my gf ordered doh.gif The delivery cost itself cost more than RM100.

I'm planning to persuade my gf to cancel off her previous order and re-order the model again with FREE DELIVERY!

So, for the next order, should we go for the online booking... or phone-booking? Which one is better? I heard that if you deal on phone, you may get more benefit offered by the salesperson (since they are getting commission).

READ ON and learn to be grateful:

your welcome smile.gif . Yep i feel for u exactly. Imagine this, when there were announcement (at CES 2007 and the company itself) made back in Jan 07 for this particular notebook that it will comes out somewhere in Q1. I cant recall the date opened for order coz its way back then. There are ppl who even ordered this notebook somewhere around early April. U know when they received theirs? This week. They said it will be shipped around Q1. Q1 my A$$, it's already Q3 right now. I have proofs for this. U can check this forummer's sig, note the date written in American's, so it goes with month first, and then the day; mm/dd/yyyy. Here is the link to it: read his signature

he ordered like April 2th and received it July 10th. Trust me, I have seen like hundred times they pushed the delivery date since April till early this week. and thanks to them, I already bought a laptop coz i couldnt afford to wait that long. I hope this will somehow increase ur patient and grateful level in your body tongue.gif

To start with, I owned an SLi notebook. Trust me, PhotoShop doesnt utilize gpu that much. For photoshop-ing and stuff like that, u will need better processor and RAM. What i will suggest get the best processor u can and the best RAM u can. Dont trust me? Head to notebookforums.com where every notebooks include the fastest notebook in the world owners are also there. If theirs lappies limited to some level of multi-tasking and performance, so why wouldnt other lower-level lappies? From the gpu related with PhotoShop, I ask some ppl at SLizone.com and ask if gpu affects as much as proc for photoshop, most of em answered it might affect abit, but proc plays much more important role for that specific purposes.

Added on July 13, 2007, 8:56 pmFor Vista tho, u need dedicated gpu to utilize all dx10 features. U can read more in some mags this month about how is Vista (dx10) useful for non-gamers. Is it just game that utilize dx10? Will Intel's X3100 will be enuf?

the answer will be too long for me to type here but basically having dedicated gpu does help for that purpose especially with the first full dx10 graphics for mobile enthusiasts - 8700M GT.

but every each of us have budget that limits our wants, so ..

Of coz having better gpu, proc, amount of ram will have advantages and affect our overall lappies but not all of us can afford it.

I thot we already talk about this, get the better proc, photoshop dont utilize gpu. Do u play games at all? If u dont, u are more than enuf will integrated. And i dont know for sure PhotoShop works flawless with Vista. Never heard either bad/good news about it. U might want to check about that. Bluetooth is important, TrueLife is sometimes annoying bcoz it reflects like mirror.

Good question, i don't how to explain but u can install it on other laptop but it's more likely built for yours (for example, urs is Inspiron 1520 etc.). It will still works the same everything is the same is just that some patches or else like wallpaper, system spec will be showing Dell (I have pic example for this.. I again dont know how to explain this).

It will come installed but i dont know for sure if u can ask them to let u do it yourself. About the gaming question, it is important for to ask urself too, not me. Coz it will be ur system, not mine. Think about it.
