Hi all, looks like the big screen fans have all lined up for Mate 20 X. I'm also having a keen interest in this device, especially since it supports the stylus.
I went to raba one at DirectD but it had no M-Pen. They had an M-Pen from the M5 Pro tablet, it didn't work on the 20 X's screen.
Anyone who already has the M-Pen can provide a short review, especially for palm rejection?
Samsung should have released a 7-8" device with S-Pen with contemporary specs as the 9+" devices are all too large to be handy.
Looks like most people here got the 20 Pro and everyone is experiencing the green screen issue. Hopefully no such issue with the 20 X, and flat screens FTW.
LoL I'm a spec whore. For Android, Samsung had all the bells and whistles, but now Huawei has upped the ante. OneNote is actually the best portable app across all platforms and probably the best client for handwritten note taking.
Yes, it is not that same. I also surprise. I tried my M5 pen yesterday, it does not work. In fact, both pen does not work with either device. And the m-pen for this mate 20 is smaller, about 20% smaller.
Sorry, can't give you any review yet. Just tried for a while yesterday. First feeling, quite good. Can manage to write properly. I need to test more.
Everything is good for me, except one thing, there is no led notification light on the phone. Doesn't really bother me so much as I connected to GT watch. However, I would prefer to have that.
The main thing for any active digitizer device would be palm rejection.
If you can rest your palm on the screen while writing and it shows no issues like cursor jumping around or phantom strokes, then that fits the bill for an active digitizer.
Have been using mate20x for 1 day, so far so goof I got it for 2799 from qoo10 apps uaing voucher rm400s, self pick up at seller shop yesterday I only got mpen and flip case, bluetooth keyboard need to wait for huawei to send later I guess for 2799 eventhough no other free gifts.. For me it was a good deal.
Hi guys, I'm a mate 20x user here. Just got it 2 days ago 1.Just to enquire you guys who used mate20x, how is your battery life? First day i got around 20hours plus with screen on time around 8 hours But without sim card. Only using wifi 2nd day today i used 2 sim cards, wifi and bluetooth and always on display were ON for the whole day Only managed 15 hours battery life with screen on time about 6 hours It is acceptable?
2. Any suggestion for back case with magnetic kickstand for mate 20x?
Running on the mobile network will consume more battery. GSMarena normally has comparisons.
I ordered a case from aliexpress, you could check out the selections there.
Anybody in here bought the Mate 20 X? Does it have the same screen issues as the Pro? Planning on getting this since it's the new battery champ, but after seeing so many pipu in here complaining about their Pro's screen problem, somehow got scared dee. Plus it's still not a cheap phone.
It looks like there are no reported problems with the screen of the 20 X yet, and it is using a Samsung panel instead of LG which is the one having the gluegate issue.
After all the noise on 'the hulk' mate 20 pro, I decided to go for mate 20 x and got it this Monday from SenQ. I felt the deal was super nice especially if you are purchasing it with Citibank card as it came with even more extended warranty and more free gift.
I missed the online pre-order, but from the 2 SenQ shops I visited, both of them said that free gift are still available till stock last, most likely will till end of this month, so whoever are still interested, can give SenQ a try
Total freebie = Mate Pen + Flip Case (standard Huawei pre-order gift) + cable, iRing and 10000 powerbank with Citibank Visa credit card Total warranty = 3 years (1 year from Huawei, 2 years from SenQ with P1 membership + Citibank Visa card)
Edit - I also made my first ever unboxing video on this, but I did it quite badly, so do bear with me
What were the freebies and what was the total price you paid?
M-pen glides too smoothly on the screen. The Notes app is also far less polished than S-Note, but I use OneNote so ota fine. Palm rejection is fine and the writing is responsive, except for the over smooth screen.
For m20x, anyone having any issues? Or just the pro one plagued with the issue
1st day of use. No issues so far. Projecting the screen to any display lets you choose Desktop mode or mirror mode. Pretty awesome. Screw DeX and its overpriced accessory.
