Now after 1 month, u can get Note 9 for RM 2600++ (SME version).

Mate 20 pro looks awesome especially the camera optics and  features but don know about the price here. Above 3.3k a definite no go for me no matter how awesome.

anyone knows if it's possible to disable the "beauty mode" in the camera settings? played around with a mate 20 pro today, really impressed with the phone but the "beauty mode" is putting me off, even when the slider is at the most left, it's still present

yalor, adreno always tops out mali when playing graphic intensive games. 

i currently use oneplus 5t, great gaming performance! only complaint is the speakers suck and the position suck!

however i was a huawei mate 8 user, and i miss the knock and knuckle shortcuts.  i also still using a huawei mediapad m3 for watching videos and games.

both mate 8 and mediapad m3 uses same kirin 950, and they both are not great at playing heavy graphics games.

ya...mate used to be wider version of phone....personally I'm looking for a slim phone, since I carry it on a belt pouch, hence looking at P20p or m20p. Compared to my wifey mate9 is way much more wider

i did compare the result of both phones at huawei shop.mate 20 shot seems blurrier and smoothening effect more prominent than pro.not sure either this is due to screen resolution or the camera quality itself being different

Can someone explain why the speakers on m20pro is so soft?

At max volume and i am not charging but volume is really really soft for stereo speakers.

Other than that, its a fantastic phone.

Another green tint analysis compared with Galaxy Note 8

I compared my Mate 20 Pro with my friend Galaxy Note 8.

Guess what...

So, it looks like LG have different way to handle the low brightness compared with Samsung.

Below is the photo that took using my iPad Pro. In a complete dark room.
Please note that the photo looks much more obvious than naked eye due to auto long exposure.

The different is not as much as you see in the photo. Especially the screen "evenness". LG OLED looks not as smooth/even Samsung OLED. Well, if the Mate 20 Pro cost RM 4599, I am pretty sure we can get same smooth/even OLED quality.

The phone got warranty but just that Huawei after service is suck. This is what I told my friends now. Currently using android phone? If so, then should be ok.

Mate 20 is LCD screen. Should be ok.

As end user, i don think normal people care whar brand display that use, as long the display have consistent performance and meet the advertisement.

Huawei is multi billions business.(earn multi b and lost multi b)
So they need admit the problem.
Like apple admit intel modem cause signal issue. Samsung note 7 case also cost them a lot, so till now they play safe on battery side.

Even the problem cause by LG ( if BOE too), that was huawei internal problem. They sue display panel's company or not wasn't end user problem....

I'm m20x owner for 1 week, but now feel a bit uneasy with the size, feel like changing to pro. But still thinking because I really love watching Netflix, playing games, and the speaker sound is incredibly incredible.

Just feel not convinient to text while driving. And feel a bit insecure when sexting in public as people can see clearly what I'm doing with the phone.

Because SC insist change screen on green tint + blackspot issue i mention last week (they need 4-5hours show they wanna change screen)

I can just waste 3k like my sony z5 premium. I try hold 1 year on this moron phone and switch to other and no more came back.

Asked and they need me sent SC via shop for repair. No refund will be make..i think even repair will fix all. Will be nono for future huawei phone.

They promise water resistant wont compromise. But you know. Their promise usually wont '100' as my second point.

After that last call. In 10 minute they call back. They can make 1 to 1 if me bring to SC myself. And about 2hours checked no problem(drop,water...etc..) then 1 to 1 without asking.

think this refer to any unit that has been sent in for repair, as only then will they be able to register your name to the unit via imei. the next owner won't have the same privilege anymore if they send the same unit for servicing, as the record won't match.

Huawei warranty registered by name? Not by imei? I never knew that.. Never register warranty for huawei phone, assuming just the purchased recipt requred to claim warranty

Wah... To be honest. I'll jump ship too if I faced same problem like you.

I think beside Samsung and Apple, all other phone retailer in Malaysia just too evil. Few years ago, I bought a Xperia Z1 from Senheng. They also give me a "repacked" unit luckily I saw a big scratch on the back of the phone when open box. Then I ask them give me another unit.

Problem is I switched from iPhone to S7 Edge. Then my screen had dead pixel but I didn't know little girly Samsung will void your warranty once you root your phone. I thought it was similar as jailbreaking iPhone and can format back when any issue need to warranty. So i was stuck with that screen cause they wouldn't let me claim warranty. Battery life sucked as well.

So I decided to give Samsung another try and went to note 8. Camera still sucked, phone is not smooth at all even with simply stuff such as browsing Facebook. Battery life charge full morning and by 4pm need to charge again.

Huawei mate 20 Pro is just perfect. Super smooth with a great camera and one morning charge lasts me till I wake up next morning with usually 5% left. I don't have faith in any other android brands so my only sage choice is to go back to the boring iPhone 😭

The issue is apple refurbish will tell you upfront and they will do it properly. No screen bulging out like 8months pregnant. Not dodgy like huawei say getting new phone but giving refurbished. Secondly I've used 2 iPhone each for over 2 years since ip4 and never had to warranty anything a single time.

Yes note 8 camera sucks to the max. Their portrait mode?probably will work properly if you got studio lighting all around your subject. Normal lighting like cheebai start blurring the persons ears and face.

I try getting my wife to change from her iPhone 7 to android but that day she told me "ya lo I used to see your note 8 photo and think why it sucks" but she didn't wanna tell me and make me sad. After she saw my Huawei she ready to switch now to huawei. Keep take my phone and use the camera but too bad happen this quality issue.
