I'm in the middle of buying a new phone to replace my Mate 9.

Had already went to test between M20 and the X, I personally like X over the M20, for the obvious reasons.

But somehow the size of the phone is bothering me every now and then, will I get uncomfortable in the future? My hands are big, no problem to hold it for 10mins +- while I was checking it out but how about for longer term? Is it annoying to use it and to have it inside your pocket?

Thanks.

Some ppl i know chose d X for gaming purpose, and stylus, some ppl chose M20 over X simply for pocket friendly

I made a small mod to my casing to carry the pen. Will also add a lanyard loop.

I am Mate 20 user. I try using Huawei Original adapter and original type C Cable. This is the result.

When I change it to other type c cable, the super charging word not display. just display 2 thunderbolt

Hi guys. Just checked out the mate 20x, and kinda fell in love (nice screen, great size and amazing speakers~~). Reminded me when I got the Nexus6p, which to date I still think is one of the best phone ever, but that was like 3 years ago.

So, just some questions:
1) any recommendations where to get with the best price? I've checked arnd in Lazada n shopee, seems like they r about 2.9k with pen and folding case?

2) I'm coming from a note 8, which was an impulse buy last year to replace my nexus.. didn't like the curve screen, sub par speakers, overall not so good a UI, not so good a battery life, and I've basically smashed my screen.. Anyone coming from the same place as me? Basically my question is do u think it's a worth while upgrade?

3) with mate 20x RRP at 2.9k (RRP3199), mate 20pro at 3.2k (RRP 3599), why choose this over note 9 at 2.7k (RRP3699) which is, looking from just the discount from RRP price is like super bang for buck discount?

Also, since there's alot of u guys using Huawei, do u think the price will be going down significantly more in 1 or 2 month's time?

I can tell u very honestly from my POV.
Coming from all my previous phone with 5.5 - 5.6 inches (max)
I told myself last time that 5.6 will be my absolute big size. Until this m20x came along. After 2 days using a 7.2 inch m20x picking up my old 5.5 inch phone feel soo tiny. It was hard to describe the feeling.
Interm of usability, yes it was abit difficult at first but i have adapt to it now.
Pocket friendly? If u wear slim fit type of pants - definitely not.
Sitting down with the phone in ur pocket - nightmare. But lucky i dont wear alot of slim fit pants so im good.

personally, i use 2 hps. one primary 5 incher , my xiaomi mi 6 (for watsapp & watsapp business aka 2 watsapp in my primary phone) for working, doing excel, work apps and shitz ....primely because when im driving i can one hand my hp COMFORTABLY save the dont drive and operate hp lecture lol ...even 5.5 hp also not comfortable to one hand....notice im not refering to manageability but one hand comfort...

2nd hp my game, media, browsing goto phone....still, i wouldnt go anything more than 6.5 inch for todays fullscreen standard phone dimension lol biggrin.gif it just me....

having 2 hps ive got ample of juices, hardly need to acquire ONE high battery phone although i still consciously pick high mah (two) phones....otherwise, at least a QC3.0 hp

mammoth phones r just no no for me since the heydays of lenovo phab plus 7incher sweat.gif

and besides, i always have a small swing bag with me to put my 5.5 to 6+ incher while the primary 5" phone in my pocket , carrying 2 hps has always been fine with me...and also the most ideal one because, im abit of a regular hp changer....mmy primary phone i hardly change, is something i keep with me for long n more permanently while the second hp bigger screen i can keep changing hp like changing gf and not need to worry about transferring from 1 phone to another new phone for the sake of retaining the data especially personal n more core privacy data is better to not trade that phone for security matter...thats where the primary hp has its importance in this matter storing more prominent sensitive data...its really the best of world

I went from 5.3" with the first Note till Note 8, 6.3".

Now with this I feel anything else (except full tablets 8"+) is too small.

To be honest, I am the "pouch-or-sling-bag" kinda guy so my phone rarely goes into my pocket. It will, but not often. So I guess I can ignore that issue.

It's weird when my wife who has smaller hands said that the phone is big but it is somehow acceptable. Well yeah, I think it's a good choice for so many reasons. Lol.

Well, I used to carry 2 phones and I wasn't comfortable with it since I had to maintain 2 numbers and tethered the data, charge the phones constantly etc etc. It was just me..

I am focusing on social medias, taking pictures, casually playing high-end games, and basic smartphone stuff so I guess a single phone is sufficient ,but thanks anyway for your input. Well to be completely honest, I don't need a new phone atm, I just want it LOL.

Supercharge need HW proprietary cable. Any other type c will just give you normal and not even fast charging
This is based on my experiences using the mate 7 till 10 series

Do check out Qoo10 my also but nowadays need to have Q points to redeem digital vouchers of up to RM250 (last time RM300/RM400). See if tommorrow any surprise but u may not have enough time to accumulate your Q points to redeem.
