i need to pay maxis penalty for losing the phone? how does it work for such scenario?

just continue pay what you are paying until contract over.

you are rent from maxis ?or buy instalment?
if is buy from installment than much easy , u can buy one new phone to use or use back your old phone .

aslong u pay 24 month already, no need to pay for penalty. and just go to maxis center tell them that u have lost your sim card and they will give you a new one with your old number.

Many purchase through zerolution and sell of their phones for cash while continue paying their montly installments. I think you get the idea if your phone is lost before you finished the contract.

The staff valued my iphone 8 64gb at RM1750. Now he suddenly wants extra RM175 because HQ said if got scratch, minus that value from full trade in price.
