Manage to order the T&L set yesterday,  just have question regarding warranty, i'm getting mixed answer, some says apple malaysia wont honour other countries phone but some said that its an international warranty and shop like Machines will accept it.

Anyone went with Celcom's Easy Phone? I could call the CS but it's already past midnight, and I have doubts on their ability to answer my question

I've been a customer for over a year, and was not charged anything for taking the phone. However, going over the receipt, I noticed a rather disturbing item:

"Easy Phone Penalty 2.0" amounting to RM 4944.00, which says "Charge applied to next bill".

When I asked the guy, he said there will be no upfront charges, just the monthly charge of RM 187.

Anyone knows what that charge is?

Seems like the 4944 is the penalty for cancelling before the contract runs its course. Not sure how that relates to my bill. I'll be calling Celcom tomorrow to check...unless someone answers first. Heh.

This is true for easyphone/zerolutions set... but i dont think applies for device bundle plan.. i've sold and bought few telco set which are bundle with telco plan, i've also talked to celcom regarding this.. they said if bundle set , they wont bar the device.. only easyphone sets...

the problem is.. some buyers generalizes.. telco set.. confirm can bar device already...

For warranty wise, I believe all apple store will honor worldwide, provided they have the model. Cause now only China/HK getting the actual dual sim model. For e.g. if u were goto Apple Store in SG to claim warranty, they might be very willing to help but they only stock the eSim model phone, so might be problem in the runover time.

I could...but sometimes I get nosy fellas trying to read over my shoulder. So I'd rather keep it as it is. Lol.

Just that with Touch ID it's easier to check the message without having to lift the phone and make it obvious that you're actually checking the phone. Especially in meetings.

Minor inconvenience is outweighed by how much more seamless my phone-using experience is now though. YMMV I suppose.

Anyone know how does actually esim work now? The question is the roaming capabilities. First can we go without any physical sim in tray and use the esim locally? When we travel to another country the network roam as usual like we are now ?

I also unsure about this here for Maxis eSIM, as someone mentioned the eSIM from maxis is in the form of a Share Line (share the data from the principal SIM line), so do we have to insert the principal Nano Sim card in the phone for the Share line eSIM to work?  meaning if we remove the principal line Nano Sim from the phone can we still use the eSIM alone while having another Oversea Nano Sim Line in the phone? 

I am not sure about that and curious about how does it work when it roam in foreign network. Good if they work as physical sim. Gonna wait till someone try it out roaming in foreign network. The good thing about esim was it can add more than 2 sim profile right ?

yes bro... i paid maxis 5.4k with 2 years contract rm128... so i just wondering touch wood if my phone lost i will kena any penalty onot only...

i am ok to continue with the 2 years contract paying them rm128, just that i dunno is that ok for maxis to cut off that stolen sim card (bcoz phone got stolen liao) and give me a new sim card with same phone number, without kena any penalty only...
