QUOTE(edthrax @ Oct 28 2018, 11:15 PM) Manage to order the T&L set yesterday,Β just have question regarding warranty, i'm getting mixed answer, some says apple malaysia wont honour other countries phone but some said that its an international warranty and shop like Machines will accept it. The answer is no. So the HK iphones, can we send to local apple store for warranty claims? QUOTE(marquis @ Oct 29 2018, 12:55 AM) Anyone went with Celcom's Easy Phone? I could call the CS but it's already past midnight, and I have doubts on their ability to answer my question That is the penalty if you port out or cancel your contract before fully paying off your phone. That is why buyers must beware of buying sets from sellers. There is one seller on marketplace selling such sets at a very good price. Beware if the original buyer didn't pay up on his ezyphone installments, Celcom will block your imei and your phone will become a paper weight. I've been a customer for over a year, and was not charged anything for taking the phone. However, going over the receipt, I noticed a rather disturbing item: "Easy Phone Penalty 2.0" amounting to RM 4944.00, which says "Charge applied to next bill". When I asked the guy, he said there will be no upfront charges, just the monthly charge of RM 187. Anyone knows what that charge is? EDIT: Seems like the 4944 is the penalty for cancelling before the contract runs its course. Not sure how that relates to my bill. I'll be calling Celcom tomorrow to check...unless someone answers first. Heh. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Oct 29 2018, 07:32 AM |

T&L has their office address printed on the invoice on the package when they deliver the phone.
What vez said was right. Some would be better off buying my sets at RRP. This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Oct 29 2018, 08:10 AM |

QUOTE(edthrax @ Oct 29 2018, 08:06 AM) This is true for easyphone/zerolutions set... but i dont think applies for device bundle plan.. i've sold and bought few telco set which are bundle with telco plan, i've also talked to celcom regarding this.. they said if bundle set , they wont bar the device.. only easyphone sets... True to that. But best is to avoid telco sets completely to avoid such issues. Since you are paying cold hard cash for a phone , might as well get an unlocked set to prevent further complications later on. Unless the mentioned telco set is way cheaper, if not I don't think it's worth taking the risks.the problem is.. some buyers generalizes.. telco set.. confirm can bar device already... QUOTE(lkoky @ Oct 29 2018, 08:18 AM) This time round, I am quite tempted to get the HK set from T&L... not only cheaper but... with physical dual sim support! You are both right and wrong. Apple did state there is no international warranty for IPhones on their warranty clause and being so I am just stating what is being written on the clause. This has been a never ending debate since the IPhone 4 threads and the same question regarding warranty will be asked again and again during launch of new IPhones. For warranty wise, I believe all apple store will honor worldwide, provided they have the model. Cause now only China/HK getting the actual dual sim model. For e.g. if u were goto Apple Store in SG to claim warranty, they might be very willing to help but they only stock the eSim model phone, so might be problem in the runover time. |

QUOTE(lwl_80 @ Oct 29 2018, 09:08 AM) hmm.. so for what they state here is not true? Different warranty conditions are set for the Iphone, Ipad, Apple Tv and Ipod.https://store.apple.com/Catalog/Images/worl...dewarranty.html Apple's (1) Year Limited warranty I think TS should pin this up as we are having the same repetitive question of whether Iphones have international warranty. I have posted this up many times on the thread before. winkiedilwy This post has been edited by TOMEI-R: Oct 29 2018, 09:32 AM |

QUOTE(marquis @ Oct 29 2018, 01:46 PM) I could...but sometimes I get nosy fellas trying to read over my shoulder. So I'd rather keep it as it is. Lol. You can actually press the power button to view your messages without unlocking the phone.Just that with Touch ID it's easier to check the message without having to lift the phone and make it obvious that you're actually checking the phone. Especially in meetings. Minor inconvenience is outweighed by how much more seamless my phone-using experience is now though. YMMV I suppose. I know I've read that some people hate Face ID with a vengeance |

QUOTE(xproc @ Oct 29 2018, 10:18 PM) I would prefer the 7+ over the 8 + due to the larger capacity battery and lighter body. The 8+ battery is just not as good as the 7+.QUOTE(marquis @ Oct 30 2018, 09:42 AM) Like them THICC phones ayyy That is another way. Never turning back to fingerprint sensor anymore, even if Apple comes with on screen FP like Oneplus 6T.Since both you and devil666 both have said this, I guess I'll give it a go. No need to press power button too. Just tap the screen! Check out sakurazz in the garage sales. He's selling the HODA with promotion now. Buy a case and get the TG at 20% off. ----------------------- Anyone here using Apollo app? Seems like my haptic feedback is much, much less than my iPhone 6S Plus. On the usual stuff, like 3D press it's normal. Just on the other things...it seems really week. Is this an isolated problem? Seems to be a software implementation issue by the Dev. |

QUOTE(Reventon @ Oct 30 2018, 04:10 PM) Anyone know how does actually esim work now? The question is the roaming capabilities. First can we go without any physical sim in tray and use the esim locally? When we travel to another country the network roam as usual like we are now ? Difference of the ESim and a nanosim is one is embedded by software vs a physical one. Why would it affect international roaming capabilities? |

QUOTE(Dave Minion @ Oct 30 2018, 05:01 PM) I also unsure about this here for Maxis eSIM, as someone mentioned the eSIM from maxis is in the form of a Share Line (share the data from the principal SIM line), so do we have to insert the principal Nano Sim card in the phone for the Share line eSIM to work? meaning if we remove the principal line Nano Sim from the phone can we still use the eSIM alone while having another Oversea Nano Sim Line in the phone? No. There will be no physical sim cards. You only need to key in the serial no / scan the barcode of your ESim kit and the sim will be copied into your phone. |

QUOTE(Reventon @ Oct 30 2018, 05:10 PM) I am not sure about that and curious about how does it work when it roam in foreign network. Good if they work as physical sim. Gonna wait till someone try it out roaming in foreign network. The good thing about esim was it can add more than 2 sim profile right ? Two sim profiles would be possible from the same Telco, like Maxis shared/family lines. We will just have to wait and see the outcome next month. |
