Here's the thing: First month working in this company but under contract with another agency company, they pay their salary on 28th every month. I received my salary last month on 28 and checked with my epf account (iakaun) to find out I did not receive any amount until today (15th October). My previous experience told me that once I receive my salary the EPF amount will be deposited into my epf account and iakaun amount will be updated on the spot as well. The agent's excuse is: they make payment after 16th every month, but maybe EPF won't update the amount because they don't update the iakaun amount ots. I think this agency company is bullshitting tho. Anyone experience this before? Anyway I found this too: http://www.kwsp.gov.my/portal/en/employers...terest/dividendSo is it possible for them to make the transaction after 15th? I don't think so.

15th is the deadline for submission of epf monthly..so maybe they choose to submit at the last minute.
If they choose to pay after the 15th, they will be subjected to a monetary penalty.

Don't worry, so long as you got all details, i.e. payslip, even if they submit or don't submit, EPF will help u chase for it. And, u will not lose a single sen on dividend.
EPF very strict and efficient on this

If they pay late also, you as the ahli won't be fined one, it'll be the employer punya pasal.
15th of the following month is last day to pay a particular month's EPF contribution.

Somemore I'm just asking politely and she was answering me rudely. Hopefully you guys dont have to face this kind of employer next time. Thanks and have a good day everyone

Does EPF really fine them if they're late for a few days?
My company has been paying after the 20th for a few years now. They've been using a third party to do the payment as there's no HR in Malaysia.
Not a big issue for me, just curious after I saw this topic.

If late, sure kena penalty one. I forgot once, terus kena diao by EPF... Got my letter summoning payment for penalty within 14 days notice bla bla...
As employee you don't have to worry. If u find something off, just email them. They will reply you quite quickly with info they pull out from your acc n ur employer's. I tried before when I found one month missing.. then they quickly replied like oh ur employee didnt contribute this month.. or, ur employer contributed but lack one pc of info thus money not in ur acc but held by EPF first... EPF very jaga employee one.

Even my July EPF only reflected around end of September.

FYI, from the perspective of dividend.
it doesnt matter if kwsp deposited on 15, or 20, or 25, its still the same dividend amount
the formula for EPF dividend calculation is: ((31 dec) - (last date of the month) + 1 )/ 365 * dividend%
example: RM300 deposit to KWSP on 20 Oct 2019 (31 dec) - (31 oct 2019) + 1 = 62 days
dividend = (62 / 365 ) * epfdividend% * 300
