QUOTE(infin @ Mar 25 2019, 06:14 PM) Really? Since I started using Time 3 years ago, this is the most notable issue. And even then, it's not that service is interrupted, just that bandwidth is heavily reduced. I agree with your points. Time is great however, I have been using TIME since 2014 from 50 then woohoo 10x speed upgrade in 2015 to 500 and recently 1000. The slowdown during the nights happens ever so often until but granted has been less of late but it is very annoying when it happens. All the while been using own equipment coz whatever they offered is pretty standard. Most of the time I can max my connections without any issues. Both the senior agents have helped me so many times but in the end it fixes itself over days. Compared to when I was using Streamyx and Unifi, Time has been multiple times better with maintaining their service quality and uptime. If you asked me to go back to Unifi for the same bandwidth and price, I would say hell no. Even if Unifi was cheaper for the same bandwidth, still no. There's no contest. When it's working properly, with Time you can achieve 10ms latency to SG, 3ms latency local. Whereas with Unifi, you can achieve 50ms latency from your house to Telekom servers. |

This slowness problem has been happening for years. Every time I complaint a few days/weeks later it goes back to normal, they always brush it off with all this "tests" they want you to perform. it is not a new and have gotten used to it. Overall thoughtout the year is good enough for me. It is more obvious now due to the high bandwidth offered as compared to when it first started when you had to use their "Boost" to speed things up.

QUOTE(superavenger @ Aug 9 2023, 07:55 PM) Currently considering switching over to Time Fibre either 100mbps or 500mbps but am not sure of the ping/speed to Canada. Here you goAnyone kind enough to help with a speedtest on nperf.com for [CA] Beauharnois - 10Gb/s - OVH.com https://pictr.com/image/EfOjUD |
