Just switch from Maxis to TIME 100Mbps since last Friday, was given the new router TP-LINK EC230, tested with iphone on 5Ghz wifi speed and stability were excellent, very stable 100Mbps during speedtest. However, when using SmartTV, tvbox, desktop using the 2.4ghz wifi, connection not stable and will have sudden drop, never experience it during Maxis. The router firmware is the latest 20200827 and i have check this thread history but couldnt find a real solution. Anyone can solve this problem? Please share. Thanks!

Can anyone guide me how to setup the TP-LINK archer c5v to work with TIME fiber? archer ec230-g1 sucks on 2.4ghz, i want to change back to archer c5v, i have TIME pppoe username and password but archer c5v wont connect to internet even if i entered correctly.

Hopefully it will solve the disconnection issue. Under my careful review. Anyone with 2.4ghz wifi connectivity issue on ec230 can download this updated firmware. Use at your own risk.

I decided to give it a second try today, used zoom meeting for 1.5 hours and doesn't experience any significant drop in connection. Looks like the new firmware works on 2.4ghz, anyone can share their experience after updated this firmware? |
