Hello to those who have TIME internet at home,

I wanna switch from Unifi to TIME, but I will have to give up the HyppTV.

Any recommendation on TV Box that functions like HyppTV?

Note: I only watch the free channels (TV3, NTV7, 8TV), the other channels are not important.

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

Does Astro Njoi have good signal? Do I need to buy some external antenna? My apartment is at Segambut Dalam, K.L.

And, how much I need to pay for Njoi monthly? Or how much is Njoi one time payment currently?

Hi, is 500Mbps overkill for me?

I have 5 people in the house sharing. I'm a heavy gamer and have torrent download simultaneously. My friends normally use Netflix or some other TV show streaming website, but no gaming.

I'm in a dilemma right now.. to get 100Mbps OR 500Mbps?

Please advise.

edit: given the price difference is RM40 per month. will you recommend the 500Mbps over 100Mbps? But if it's overkill then I will opt for 100Mbps for sure.

Hi, I would to like to suggest you to get 500Mbps for your needs.
Heavy Gaming, Downloading and Streaming need a faster Internet to avoid interruptions.
May I know that do you have 5GHz devices in your house?

How many devices will be connected in total?
100Mbps is sufficient for those who use as single user or rarely download torrent.
You may try out 100Mbps. if not suitable. You may upgrade it via Self Care.

Thanks.

If I upgrade/downgrade, will I get penalty charge?

Halo guys.
I'm planning to switch internet service from TM to TIME after contract ends.

May I know what's the transition period for termination?

Let's say the contract ends on 22 October, can I raise the termination request on 22 October to TM and arrange TIME installation in the next few days?

Hi, I need some advice here.

I'm planning to get the rm99 package and use the voice basic - as I only receive phone calls. Question: I still need to buy a cordless phone, any brand you can recommend? And how do I set up the phone with Time internet?

Secondly, is the WiFI 6 Router worth the extra RM99 in the long run?

Hi. I need some technical figures here.

For Huawei HG8145X6 (Wifi 6), how much better is the wifi coverage compared to Huawei HG8145V5 (Wifi 5)? E.g. 1 metre further?

Hello.

I need some info here. I live in a house that has TM Unifi's externally laid fibre optic cable but I'm going to subscribe TIME soon.

May I know if this TM fibre optic still can use? Or need use TIME's? Any additional cost I need to pay??

Please provide more info.

1) Is this landed property or Condo/Apartment ? Please provide the name.
2) What do you mean externally laid fibre optic ? Do you mean the fibre laid from outside the house into your unit ?

If this fibre is prelaid by your property developer then it can be used.

Thanks for your reply.

1) It's a Condo in Segambut.
2) Yes, that's correct. Earlier TM Unifi offered to install optic fibre (50 Metres) for my unit for free and no renew of contract, so I accepted.
Now I need to change to TIME, but a bit worried, if I can use back the same optic fibre then OK, if not I need to *remove the current one and let TIME install the new cable.

*Remove by my own because I think TIME will charge extra fees for removal, right?

What do you suggest in my case?

Thank you.

Hi, I presume the condo is not prelaid with fibre infra. I'm sorry you cant use back the same fibre, unless the FTB that sits inside the riser room is next to TIME's FTB, then perhaps you can reuse it back to minimize the trouble of re-cabling.

TIME's SI basically will just lay a new fibre to your house, 20m is free from the Point-Of-entry until the drop point of the ONU/ONT, subsequently there is a RM10/m.
If you wish to remove the existing cable, you may discuss with the SI on the extra cost.

Thanks.

Thanks for the info! Btw what does FTB mean?

Really hope no need of re-cabling, another round of hassle to install and wall drilling...

I have another question: How much TIME normally charge for relocation fees? Let's say house moving around Klang Valley.

Thanks.

Hi, I don't quite understand this T&C. Frist sentence says you can't redeem free device, next sentence says you can.. Can someone explain to me?

PS: I wanna sub to the current promo 500Mbps and downgrade IF I find 500Mbps overkill

Hello. I'm using 100mbps package, previously downgraded from 500mbps after 6 months of subscription.

Currently there is new promotion for 500mbps that gives out a new wifi6 mesh node as part of the package, is the mesh node significantly better than the wifi5 mesh node?

Question:
1) Am I eligible for the promo?
2) How can I get this promo? Through the upgrade on Self Care?
3) Do I get to downgrade to 100mbps afterwards after 6 months?
