Hi, OP. do you know usually how long it takes for the fiber deployment to live? because my apartment here just got contractor from Time deploy the cable and mount the termination panel here and they completed it last month right before independence day, but until now i still don't see my apartment being listed in service coverage.

I do plan to switch to Time on early next month if possible as my contract with existing one ends this month.

yay! finally done ditching maxis fiber 1 year since Time contractor started laying cable in my apartment... had been stuck with paying extra to upgrade from 30mbps to 100mbps for years even after they provide speed upgrade and decided to hold it for family package users.

my astro over internet is also so much better and rarely have buffering issue as compare with at maxis on both tm and maxis infra (tm infra was the worst of all, and yes, maxis lay their fiber in my apartment too after time finished theirs, and migrated me to maxis infra just 2 weeks ago)

my betrayal was real when Time installer came to lay fiber from the box into my home, and my neighbour opposite my house just subscribed to maxis fibre and the installer arrived about the same time looking at me changing from maxis fibre to time fibre whistling.gif i guess they will ask me soon about how is my experience with time later...

by the way, I work as a project engineer in a M&E engineering company, while working on some project and tender, I had a chance to meet with Huawei's staff and while exchanging info, I was told that Time's backbone is powered by Huawei eh?

Did Maxis even counter offer you when you try to leave?

Maxis NGBB own infra can be very aggressive in pricing, even cheaper than TIME

i won't bother with their price anymore after experiencing the network quality, especially on my astro over internet. Plus those offer i bet only limited to those who subscribe maxis postpaid with maxis fiber only, not on maxis family... i did the math if i were to get same 4 line + maxis fiber 100mbps the price is about the same, heck they even gave the flyers to my doorstep offering 100mbps at RM69 per month and even setup booth at my apartment's common area, when i approached them and ask if same offer is extended to family package, they avoid the question and instead push me to "upgrade" to maxis postpaid + maxis fiber to enjoy the offer.... i gave them the cold shoulder after that

Just I hasn't had the chance to get tender from Time to enter their Network Exchange to have a look sweat.gif

Hi, I am wondering how you can get so low latency for download & upload?

your pc is connected to internet via wifi or LAN?
*
my laptop is connecting to the router over 5GHz wifi. also tested using my desktop connected over LAN Cat6 cable also have about the same result, latency all single digit. of course during the transfer it spike up to around 50-60.

in case u wonder, here is the video record on the test i did just now. https://youtu.be/NzMdyylSQ3U

Is it just me or this pic is like some one climaxing after polishing their eggplant biggrin.gif  biggrin.gif

Why would you allow Times app to control your network, not a good idea.
They cut corners as much as possible, bet they were getting cheaper price on older gen wires plus the installer might have been not very careful when installing them. That is why I am planning to install Fiber in my new place instead of copper, will cost a bit but the house will be future proof.
That is a great point indeed. But the Times tech guy should have checked it with tester instead of making the customer jump through so many hoops. These contractors really dont care.

that tells us you have a crooked mind... but yeah, that's very disturbing now that you mention... lol

hi, I want to ask, does anyone knows how time fiber planning on laying cable for new condo? next year Q4 I will be moving to this new condo and plan to relocate it to there as well. just I'm not sure if Time fiber will be ready by that time or not... though there is another existing condo near to the construction site about 2km away, I noticed that condo just have time fiber up like about half a year ago.

I hope my new condo wont have this issue of "anticompetitive" agreement between the condo FM with TM where they don't allow other ISP to lay cable into their managing condo which happened to a friend of mine living in ampang.
