guys, wanna ask some advice here. so my house i got 3 wall Ethernet port (not sure i say the term correctly). those 3 port located at living hall wall, and 2 bedroom wall. so what happen is i want to have my bedroom ethernet port to be use directly to my desktop in bedroom. but the installer said cannot because if i want to use the ethernet port in my bedroom, then the router have to put at soho box there. problem is soho box is too far to the rest of the house as my house is rectangle type. it make connection weak for those use wifi at the other end of house. somemore entrance there have wall make it block even more.
can advise on this? some sketch of my house as follow as follow. ![]() This post has been edited by TheLegend27: Jul 20 2019, 04:13 PM |

QUOTE(jjj2 @ Jul 21 2019, 12:49 AM) Hi, thank you for using TIME Fibre. thanks! option 1 sound 1 of the good alternative! really only experienced person know how to deal in this scenario! thanks!Well, design like this usually those 3 ethernet cables will be centralized at the Soho box. You have 2 options (ONU in Soho box). Option 1 : You can install your router at the bedroom and computer hook up to the router. Downside of this method is Living Hall might not be having good signal. Option 2 : Install TIME Router at the Soho box, get an additional AP for Living Hall. And your bedroom desktop pc can hook on to the wall ethernet jack. Thanks. |
