I just move to a new condo with TIME. The problem is, with Huawei HG8145V5, my bedroom has terrible wifi signal. The rest of the house is fine.

If I am going to buy TP Link Archer AX-55, will it improve the wifi signal? And do I need to set my HG8145V5 as bridge mode and AX-55 as WiFi router?

For sure if compare to V5, it will be a lot better. Set your V5 to be in ONU mode, then let your Asus router performs the rest.

Thanks for the reply. How do I set V5 to be ONU? Do I need to call customer service or I can set it in V5 itself?

It's better for you to call CS.

Just want to give an update here, TP-Link AX55 is amazing. Very strong signal even in my original deadspot using TIME given router. And yes, updating to bridge mode is as easy as chatting with TIME customer service.

Thank you so much for the help!

Yesterday around 10:30AM, suddently my Asus TUF Gaming router stop receiving WAN IP from TIME Wifi Modem Router (Bridge Mode).

Perform troubleshoot option (Factory reset Asus Router, restore backup config, disable DNS-over-TLS in WAN) still failed getting WAN IP.

Then I found the problem.

WAN Connection Type: PPPOE option in WAN setting with User & Password no more supported cause stop receiving WAN IP.

Switch connection type to 'Automatic IP', then start receiving IP from Time modem & can access to internet.

Also for IPV6, Native IPV6 also not working & only works when switch to 'Passthrough' option and getting IPV6 address.
So my question, what the hell Time is doing messup with the Time Modem config cause this issue?

Same problem with me on Wednesday morning. The TIME technicians that called me still have the gall to say that the modem were never put in bridge mode, as though that's my fault not setting it properly. I have set up this 2 years ago (and ask the CS to put it in bridge mode, that's not even by me) and never touch it.....

Anyway, good to have confirmation somewhere TIME internet messed up and reset the modem to not be in bridge mode and it's not only happening to me.

Hi, I just relocate to new house and a technician come to set it up. But now the network is connected for 10 seconds plus and disconnecting, consistently. TIME router in bridge mode and using my own router.

I called TIME support but he said the technicians can only come on Tuesday. Is there anybody who give me idea how to troubleshoot this/experienced the same thing?

The PPPoE is already set in my own router with correct username/password. I have tried using different LAN cable to connect the TIME router and my router.

EDIT: Oops. Failed to do the most basic task, I reset my own router and setup the PPPoE again and now it works!
