is time broadband recommended?

any1 tried their fiber wired package? to setup fiber in the home. any good?

any reco? what is better?

i'm perfectly ok with 100-300 mbps. cheapest if possible but reliable.

also it's capped at 2.5 multigig. for internet it doesn't get more than that. for lan, you're essentially capping yourself to 2.5g tops. though those speeds are good enough for most people. not many of the wifi 7 can hit 5g multigig to begin with. e.g. my tplink eap-773 has 10g ethernet slot, but speed only hit 2g tops


my wifi7 uses triband. i suggest getting wifi7 with triband if possible. quad band wifi7 is the premium end

just to add onto that, it also depends on your clients. are your clients at minimum wifi 6e or wifi7 capable to even make full use of that? if not then, the benefits may be limited. Those wifi 7 speeds, only applies to wifi 7 client devices. For desktop, you need wireless 7 or add it via a wifi7 pcie addon card. Msi herald wifi7 card supports AMD pcs (i think they use qualcom? or mediatek? i forget). The intel wifi7 adapter only work on intel pc afaik.

local youtuber tested many wifi 7 router, you should check his channel to see the results


on shopee the youtube model is rm1.3k anyway maybe look around a bit more if there anything else good for cheaper.

similar situation here. but i have zero experience with time so your feedback is pretty useful.

i went with unifi since thats what i used before. i just assumed the tmnut unifi would be more stable. no issues for me. but i have no idea if time would be better or not, its not that more expensive, but it has 300 mbps vs unifi 100 mbps. i dont download much so that doesnt matter too much to me, i just want a stable low latency internet at cheapest

but this retention plan does not apply to new subscribers or does it? when i subscribe they only offered the standard 100 mbps i guess the stay with unifi doesnt work until ur 2 year lapses first before u can try that trick?

even blacktubi doesnt seem to like time, so even more of a reason for me to sus

anyway for unifi tmnut 100 mbps, dont notice any particular issues, just works. of course i dont use isp dns

I watch Netflix unifi didn't notice issue. But yes if ur household have more people definitely go for the more download speed for sure

i suggest u download wifiman (assuming u use android) onto smartphone. then check ur wifi signal dbm. just because ur speed is good in one area, doesnt mean its the same in another. so try walk around and see ur results (both signal and the local speed test)

u say inconsistent. i would first suspect wifi signal not good, too much interference? or simply ur wifi thoroughput using that wifi ap is bad but u did not realize. Check that first.

Once u rule that out, then ok then check other things



or u can skip all that and go straight to wired and see its improved or not. id still want to check wifi is not the issue if i were u since its something i actually use
