Use Google DNS or Cloudflare DNS Disable IPV6 at network connections on pc if your on ethernet or wifi Disable IPV6 on your router settings Restart your modem and router Restart your pc I'm on Windows 10 between. Try this and let me know your results and you can thank me later |

QUOTE(michaelkkl @ Oct 29 2018, 09:19 AM) [attachmentid=10090402] That is if they want to use IPV6 then yes , if no , then just disable IPV6 and make use of the current IPV4 DNS addressFor IPv6 DNS setting you need to set at the IPv6 setting page. Selecting Obtaining a DNS manually and key in Google DNS IPv6 The Google Public DNS IPv6 addresses are as follows: 2001:4860:4860::8888 2001:4860:4860::8844 |

Got a call today from Time representative and he told me to log in to Time website and claim my free router with contract renewal ?
I don't care about the contract renewal but I'm interested to sell the free router that they plan to give me. haha |

QUOTE(beLIEve @ Nov 4 2019, 10:58 PM) it started throttling me this month. I noticed when I download a 100mb file the other day. Started at full speed and dropped below 1mbps for 10 seconds, then go back up again. consistently reproducible. My speed on torrent is acceptable and never notice of any throttling. Maybe it's latest torrents with many seeders.last month i download firefox - it completed before I can even look at the download status. Now I get to look at the download status and wait for it to complete, same like my streamyx 1mbps days. that is why i always go for the cheapest package, as i'm not a heavy user. New Malaysia ISPs are all the same. i regret moving from the cheaper streamyx to Time. I think business booming. https://www.time.com.my/fair-usage-policy Downloading from NVIDIA website for drivers also can be done in 2 minute or so for a 500mb file |

How much is the price for 30 meter fiber cable from Time ?
Do I use a fibre cable splitter to add the 30 meter fiber cable or just redo everything and pull a new fiber cable ? Does a splitter cause any performance drop in internet speed or any other factors ? This post has been edited by Calvin871989: Nov 17 2019, 01:56 PM |

My modem suddenly got red light blinking on the LOS ?
Is Time down or just my place only ? Location in city centre. Edit: called Time customer service just now. Even they themselves can't help with the problem. After dismantling everything from the modem and reconnecting back the cables still same problem. They told me to wait within 24 hours to receive a call from their technical support team. Sigh Well this is my first downtime from Time this year. Edit: at 2:45pm my internet is up and running again. LOS is no longer blinking red. Does Time provide static IP ?
I'm trying to connect my tv box and wireless router to the Huawei modem but realise that I cannot connect both at the same time using PPOE It's either I connect my tv box to modem using PPOE or I connect the wireless router to modem using PPOE. I cant do both. I have another option on my TV box which is static IP if I want to connect straight to modem but will it work together example , Wireless router connect to modem using PPOE and tv box connect to modem using static IP ? |

QUOTE(FusionXY @ Feb 1 2020, 11:35 AM) Hi, welcome to TIME Family. Ok understood thanks man You may swap router if the stock router doesn't suit you well. By default, Voice Plan is Pay-Per-Use. Without DECT Phone. You may upgrade to TIME Voice Home Lite/Max in the Self Care if you wish to have free calls for few minutes. Free DECT Phone will be given once you upgrade to Voice Home Lite/Max. Yes, you can request the technician to install in the middle room. TIME will provide 20 Meters Free Fibre from the entrance door of your house. Cable outside the premise is covered under TIME. Once after the free 20 Meters, extra cable length will be charged at RM10/m. Hi, TIME only allow one PPPoE at one time. Only one session per time. Either you connect one of two only. Thanks. |

QUOTE(Jjuggler @ Feb 1 2020, 12:59 PM) You have to login to your router by entering the IP credentials i.e. 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.0.1. Then you can proceed to Under Advanced Menu > Network > Internet > Advanced and enter your preferred DNS provider credentials. It's the modem DNS not the router DNSLegends: The text bold in red only applicable for TP-LINK routers. It's the white Huawei modem that Time provided to us. |
