Is the tp-link archer c7 ac1750 suitable for 1Gbps plan? Will I get near max of 1Gbps using LAN and 5Ghz? Thanks!
*
Nope, you need to get at least AX Routers like AX3000 or above and AX Receiver.

Thanks.

i am currently on Maxis, on RT-N14UHP
since TIME has commissioned in my taman, plan to move to TIME, just want to know if anyone used Asus CT8 to replace the router they provided
*
We have a few use XT8 with TIME Fibre.
XT8 is a brother to CT8. Get AX better if you plan to use AX Devices in the future.

Thanks

yea, XT8's difference is 802.11ax and higher memory compared to CT8.

so what you are saying is it is possible to use XT8/CT8 to replace TIME's router. that is good. thanks!
*
Yes, contact CS to set as bridge if you wish to use your own router.

Thanks.

Hi everyone

I am changing to Time soon. Currently I am on Unifi and using ASUS AC86U for some time. May I know is ASUS AC86U can be used as a wifi router instead of using Time provided wifi router? If yes, any specific configuration needed? Thank you
*
Thanks for the interest on TIME FIBRE.
Yes, you can but you need to inform TIME CS to convert to Bridge Mode.

Thanks.

Thanks for replying. Noted on that

Can i ask the technician to setup for me during installation?
*
If you ask the technician to setup 3rd party router.
There will be an extra charges to setup.
It's the best setup by your own.

Thanks.

Thanks for the interest on TIME FIBRE.
There is no other requirements when signing up besides coverage.
Old OS also can use with TIME as long you can have Wi-Fi connection.

Are there any installation fees for Time? Wanted to see if transfer better or sign-up a new package which is only RM99 for first 3 month, which is more worth it.
*
Thanks for the interest on TIME FIBRE..
There is no installation fee for signing up TIME FIBRE.
But there will be additional charges for foreigner and extra fibre cable after exceeding 20 meters from the doorstep.

I got 500mbps.  House bout 1300sf. Anyone use Huawei ax3 WiFi 6+ router?
*
How about your budget? Huawei AX3 performance suitable for 100Mbps.

My suggestion is to get Deco M5 or M9 Plus for your case.

Thanks

Already used them since last year. Im now still on 500mbps plan. Want to upgrade to 1gb. Is m5 not good enough for 1gb?
*
Deco M5 is suitable for 100Mbps and 500Mbps but not 1Gbps as 1Gbps need to get Wireless AX Series.
Router will overheat as performance will be affected due to lower RAM and CPU.

I’m planning to change from UniFi to Time, how should I plan for the cancellation to avoid lengthy downtime? As I would need to wait for the Time technician to come to install and set it up? Do they promise to schedule an appointment within a fixed timeframe?
*
Thanks for the interest on TIME FIBRE.

Do refer to your PM for more information regarding TIME FIBRE.

Hi, are we allowed to change the default DNS in the HG8145V5 setting?

If we are not allowed to change that, I guess the only way is to get a new router and set the original model to bridge mode, if this would be the solution, may I know what router is the best to be used to fully utilize the 500mbps connection?
*
May I know what's your budget and house size.
We can recommend depending on your needs.

Yes, you can as TIME FIBRE doesn't use TM Backbone.

How do you even do that? So i think one m9 unit connect to the white router as it will be the one connect to internet?
*
Kindly contact TIME CS to convert if you are using 2 in 1 combo router + modem.

If separate ONU and Router then not necessarily.

if so, you just need to setup as usual, enter the PPPoE ID & Password.
No need to call TIME CS. Unless you are using a Modem Router like the 1st pic.

Thank you for helping.
