Yeah, I also went to his shop many times and bought quite a few accessories for numerous phones for my family. His shop is located at Klang Parade, basement floor. Good quality too.

Anyway, I'm about to upgrade from my xiaomi redmi note 4 (mediatek) to this A7 and hopefully it's a good move. Grab offered the 128gb model at a 6-months installment (deduction daily from our Grab driver credit/cash wallet, for 182 days) with 0% interest.

Coming from Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 to this Samsung A7 2018.. I can honestly say.. :

1. Taller screen, super amoled, no notch. Superb.
2. Finally get the 4G+ (and VoLTE2) coverage, displayed at the status bar.
3. 128gb man! With an expansion slot for micro sd!
4. Camera is stunning, at least for me.. it's been awhile since I last played with mobile photography eg nokia 1020 back in 2013. Triple rear cams + front 24mp.. marvelous!
5. So far, never encountered any lags or crashes. Smooth all the way.
* charged from 1%-100% took around 2h19m.. for a 3300mAh is too long. My RN4 with 4100mAh which doesn't support quick charge as well only took 1h10m from 1%-100%
* no internet speed indicator at status bar, need to download app to display it
* some samsung bloatwares.. sigh

Bloatware with 128gb memory no problem right 😊

Already test with quick charger to see any difference when charged A7?

Haha it's not the space im worried about, it's the ram that it hogs (if noticeable).

Haven't got a quick charger to test. Any reliable brand recommended?

Just got the Samsung A7 2018 after upgrading from the A7 2017

Loving the 128GB in-built storage but does any experience any lags or slowdowns while having multiple tabs on Chrome open?
*
I'm unsure about Chrome as I am using Free AdBlocker Browser instead. It's basically chrome without ads. And no, no lags whatsoever.

Anyone with A7 2018 received OTA Pie update? Supposedly March 2019 is the update schedule...
*
You mean this update? It's still Oreo, not Pie yet.

Had another phone used from April till recently just.. died.. and unable to boot (can't detect internal memory).

So, back to the reliable A7.. updated Pie, and wow.. like a brand new phone. Feels like battery lasts slightly longer now. Loving the Night mode, haven't tried the wide selfie shot yet, and there's 1 thing I noticed is that the contact info doesn't show anymore at the AOD screen (only at lock screen)

Nice....u sure will like the OneUI 2.0
How u enable the internet speed on notification column? U use 3rd party apps? And why u use slot 2 sim?
*
OneUI 2.0? Uncertain but willing to try.
Use free app, Internet Speed Meter Lite.
Slot 2 using umobile, my current sim. 1st slot got old sim, lazy to take out. Any difference if put in 1st slot than on 2nd?

Yes, all samsung devices with comes with OneUI 2.0 on android 10.
For your sim slot i just asking only....curious why u are using slot 2 instead of slot 1.
*
How did u know im using sim slot 2? Did my status bar indicated it? I was not aware of it.

Update:
After using it for several hours, this new update seems fine. One thing I noticed is the camera app. Prev firmware, the photo settings were available and can select which resolution to choose eg 24mp, etc. Now only can see video settings.

Also, hotspot speed seems a bit faster. Previously, average ±1MBps.. but now, it's always >1MBps. Maybe due to previously pdanet auto select WiFi band. Now can select 5ghz band in pdanet prior to hotspot.

Also worth mentioning, loving the Dark Theme.
