I've created this topic for the purpose of sharing update or issue related to Galaxy Watch. It was hard to get update especially the incident happened during the pre order yesterday. Luckily I was still able get one 46mm around 4pm.

I got mine from HK awhile back. Loving it. Anybody knows how to use Samsung Pay on it?

If compare with Huawei Watch GT? Considering both of the smart watch now, like the huawei design but galaxy watch have better interface and the rotatable circle panel.

Somemore i notice that huawei GT have abit of laggy when i watch on the youtube, any of the galaxy watch user have this issue?

After two weeks, I still happy with my galaxy watch. I use it alot for spotify music, fitness app and samsung pay. No lag at all.

The new update BRJ4 from galaxy watch fixes the "important" sleep tracking .... instead if needing HRM (heart rate monitoring) to 'Always', you can now set it to frequent and can the sleep stage monitoring without battery drain.

As for battery life with the new firmware, am still monitoring it. Previous firmware I'm getting about 3 days to 4 days depending on how often i run.

A quick question to others who also monitors swim details, besides swim.com can you use Speedo On?

Also, anyone using those case protector and screen protector? Which type?

Hi.. Just wanna check with u guys. If your whatsapp group notification on phone set to be muted, does your watch still vibrate?

Just got the watch today, but there is one problem, I have two WhatsApp running on my phone, but only the first instance of WhatsApp can push notification to the watch, the other secondary WhatsApp account can't push notifications to the watch. At the phone Galaxy Wear App notification section I can only see one WhatsApp icon for toggling on and off. Any workaround for this?

B.s. la.. I got the 46mm and it barely last a day. Didn't even run yet. No GPS on. With default setting. Bixby turn off. WiFi turn off. Aod turn off.. Still only 1 day.. rubbish..

Bro limbrian, I tried to add citi visa card to galaxy watch twice but two times also declined... which bank card you successfully added to your watch? already called citi cs but they also have no idea, and strangely the list of device supported in citi website can't find galaxy watch or s9+ or note9 also...

I have been using fenix 3hr for the last 2 years... I know galaxy watch is no match for fenix in term of fitness tracking, but my fenix has been acting strange lately and and heavily scratched when I broke my wrist last year....

anyone have issue on calories count and step count? I heard galaxy watch's measurement is way off like 40-50% compared to fitbit and apple watch. im thinking of buying one but heard about these bad news...

How this issue going on? Im using it can easily get 4 days with AOD off and 10minute HR monitor. 1 day is truly BS, even my previous Gear Sport can get 2 days. Maybe warranty?

my 42mm version can get easily pass 2 days of usage with AOD off and 10min HR monitor, and with Auto HR to None/Off 4 days no problem, just remember to turn off notification for all the many APPs that you do not need to be notified on the watch.

For those who plan to get the galaxy watch for Samsung Pay feature, the Samsung Pay customer service officer just told me that Citibank visa/master is temporary NOT supported on the Galaxy Watch/Gear.

Have you found any solution for twin app notification on watch?

i have some question about it.
Kinda confuse with the Samsung's smart watch on sales now.

Been using mine for 2 weeks. AOD on, HR 10 mins. Got 3 days/2 days and a half on single charge.

Pairing it with my OP6. Cant believe that Samsung Pay is working flawlessly. Thought need to pair with Samsung phones only to work.

Still not tired and always amazed that I can pay with my watch.

Cycling accident... worst injury of my life... but got back to 95% in term of strength and range motion.

Been using my samsung galaxy watch. It is a fun watch... nice but not a match for garmin fenix that I used to
wear. But I'm wearing it all the time now.

It can be used for fitness tracking but somehow lacking... if you are not used to a good fitness watch
then it is ok.

you can pair galaxy watch with iOS devices but you can't use Samsung Pay with it. You'll need any android phone version 5.0 or above..

Many thanks for the link, you know what, Samsung Customer care agent via online chat told me that Non Samsung compliance phone will not able to use Samsung Pay on Gear

When I chat with them, they told me the same too.. They said only can use Samsung phone. They also provided outdated steps to me.. the thing is I want to use my watch to make payment not using the phone. They seem quite confused about it. I had to explain many times that I want to use Galaxy Watch not mobile phone.

using huawei mate20pro with galaxy watch samsung pay for months already, no issue at all with maybank card, what I can confirm is among all the samsung pay list of bank, Citibank card is not supported for "galaxy watch samsung pay", confirmed with samsung pay customer service few months back...

This watch have a great UI, notification, reply message (WhatsApp, WeChat, SMS), sports tracking, control music player, offline Spotify, 4 days battery life (46mm) and many more. But when comes to water resistant, i wonder how they get 5atm certified... After wearing it in Legoland water park, the watch sensor spoil. Since after the warranty claim, i notice my watch is sensitive to water. During hand wash, the display turn off and on. Not long the screen show dead pixel (2-3 lines). So i try to avoid getting it wet... After few months, during my hand wash it's immediately jump in to rebooting loop... Till the battery died. Now the watch is not chargeble and was sitting in bag of rice for weeks.... 😠

yeah. happen to me too. The watch was very great and have a lot of function. And very convenient to have SMS and some other notification i.e. Whatsapp to your wrist, answering call.

It had no problem until after 10 months of usage ( 2 months ago ) , the watch can not boot up after accompanying my kids in kids pool ( depth around my hip ; 1m? )


send it to the Samsung Mines Service Center and got rejected for warranty claim because they said they detected water in the watch. For record, i never go diving with the watch.

If is not too late, better go try the gardens mid valley Samsung repair center. They warranty for me and told me to avoid from swimming but hand wash and splash of water is ok.... That make me wonder how this product get 5ATM certified 🤦🏻‍♂️ btw, yesterday send to service center for checking and been told can't fix it anymore. Need to change parts and the cost is RM1030 🤯 so so disappointed with this product water resistant... Should not have an IP68 water resistance with an additional 5ATM pressure rating in the catalog 🤬

Is the Active 2 worth the purchase?
Seems like you guys are saying the water resistance doesn't work? It plays a big role since I plan to use it to track my swimming as well and act like my phone for whatsapp when I go to the pool.

yes , same goes to me, they asked me to bear the cost of RM1300 (the part + installation) which is ridiculous since the Samsung Galaxy Watch in Samsung Website is just RM899 if not mistaken. Better bought new watch instead.

for me, I will never trust Samseng again regarding Water resistance... very2 sad. Claim their product to be 5ATM, but can not even withstand in kid pool. And for info, all of samsung products, their warranty did not cover for any water damage even for their certified 5ATM device ...

I think is good for daily use such as notification, reply short message (WhatsApp, wechat, sms) control music without taking out your phone, timer, sport with Spotify (no need to bring phone during jogging), answer/reject call, many cool free watchface, good looking screen, good UI and many more.... For wet activities is your own risk as warranty doesn't cover water damage as mention by others. My first warranty claim is after Legoland water park and i was lucky the service center replace parts for me foc. This time, the watch cannot handle any more and broke down after i shower with it.
