Anyone facing network issues this afternoon? I'm only getting EDGE instead of the usual 4G/4G+. Could it be due to the power outage in Klang Valley? But I'm in Kuantan...

I think this is one of the benefits of living near a hospital with a generator.

I never lost 4G at all during the power outage, speed was still 80mbps+ on my digi even though everyone was on mobile data.

Wow 6-8 years but i do agree now they did improve alot. While i am not sure about other users as there are alot still complain about Umobile in FB comments for me my experience is quite good (minus certain spot is weak) especially at high traffic area or weekends at malls around KL & PJ, the connectivity still loads faster than maxis & digi. Slowest is digi.

I am not sure if is the sunset of 3G causes more congestion on the 4G tower as the so far UM been pretty good in terms of data loading
at high traffic area like KLCC, BB and PJ, peak hours or perhaps like others say lesser subscribers. In fact, my wife kampung has full 4G UM signal
vs the big 3 only has 2G given that last time still have 3G.

enquring as potential umobile customer, the hotspot given is 5gb, after 5gb is finished, what happens?

Curiously in my area they went by just ok to almost unusable. Compliant also only get same excuse.... Upgrade in progress...it's been upgrading for months.

I'm getting 2-5mbs with a lot of timeout. Signal strength is full. I think umobile expanding its user base too quickly. Running out of bandwidth.

many telco ald u-turn on unlimited data with small fup. none offer is that interesting any more. guess they handling the congested issue.

but 5g shared all in one. scare the congested issue will be happen more  once more ppl utilize on 5g data. tower load balance handling fail.

even u in hp, show 5G on data. but there chance u might connected at 4G network only..there come weakness on hp. unless u rooted it and lock at 5g band. it's happen. cause hp is run auto connection only.

I called U-Mobile and managed to speak with their customer service officer. I want to unsubscribe from their marketing/promotion materials since they keep spamming SMS every single day for 2-3 times a day.

But the officer said they unable to proceed with my request since it's a must for U-mobile cust to receive the sms.

Is this true?

This is the first time as a customer of using any service I've been forced to accept their marketing materials
