Guys, I plan to port in from unifi to gx38. On the website, we can do it ourselves, right?

Just buy a simpack without activation, come back and follow the instructions on 'switch to u' and that's it right?

How's the overall signal coverage and stability of umobile recently? heard so many negative comments about it.

thanks first

btw, the new promo at rm35 with the gx38 plan is forever? or there is a timeframe to enjoy this promo?

Buy new sim & test out yourself first..
See yourself how "good" services they give..
Then u decide...

That's all..
If I say more.
Then branded as "unifi mobile staff" trying to spoil U Mobile "good reputation" 😑🤭

Umobile there 4 testing phase

Phase 1 - 8am to 7pm
Phase 2 - 7pm to 2am
Phase 3 - 2am to 8am
Phase 4 - Festival holidays

The critical phase is phase 2 usually slow and congested you barely achieve 2mbps so better you test out at your area.
*
Weekends/Sunday Phase don't want to include icon_question.gif

Yes correct... no 4g+ (LTE-CA)... only got 4g...

Okay..
That one is going below 200 now...
Previously I think around 200++

Buy if u guys really want..
Cheaper alternative...

Later can upgrade to 5G straight 👍 skip 4G+

With Malaysia standards I think I dont see the point having 5G. According to the umobile agent its our device problem not telco.  Even you get unlimited it will be capped between 1mbps to 6mbps those dont need 5G. I think it will take another 10 years at least for 5G to be stable in malaysia.
*
logic point also...

speed capped.. then don't needed those high end devices...

but if one uses those "normal" plan.. then.. No speed caps rclxm9.gif that also depending on telco congestion level... and band used too doh.gif

looking at 4G deployment & coverage..
well at least 5 years icon_question.gif

Lol so you're go-to guy here?

Anyway just bought a sim and upon first testing, the signals are fine. Speedtest goes around 16mbps.

Gonna test again at my workplace tomorrow.

If I were to use the new gx38, what's the speed gonna be like when it's on H? Unifi was bad when it's on H because of capping from celcom although they deny it many times from my complain. My dad's celcom can go around 8mbps while I got only 0.6mbps. when I see that it's on H, basically I can give up using my phone.

If it is indeed on 6mbps with a stable connection, I'm fine with it. Mostly surf websites and some light YouTube.
*
Hehehehe...
Me got very badness attached.. That's why many butthurt whenever I write tongue.gif

16Mbps is quite good.. And that the best u can ever get.. Unless u go lock up certain band to speed it up even higher..

H+ speed? Well its can be below 1Mbps... Heck if your place bad.. 4G also get such speeds.....

Stable or not its for u to do testing.... Not me..
I already gave out many times experience...
Now your turn to experience it yourself...

You must test it throughout the day. You get 16mbps during the day does not mean u still get it during the night. Because during congestion to just get stable connection is like gambling getting blackjack
*
Yup.
Night also needed to test..
Because that is the peak for most housing places..
People would be using for various reasons... From there we can see if network can withstand the loads or not 😁

The speed at my workplace is amazing. Exceeded my expectations.

Tested a few times and the speed does seem stable and sustains throughout different periods of time.

I need gx38/30 only though. laugh.gif
*
Superb speed u have there..
But too bad u aiming for those lower plan...
Cannot use the maximum performance of the network...
Personally I would lick the higher plan like GX68
