https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/4750658/+3080 - post #3095 - Official TM Unifi Mobile Fans Club & Enquiries V8, #khabar baik
.

In the above complaint against TM Unifi Mobile, the customer, judehow, cannot blame the celco for living in a house that has a high-rise building right in front blocking 4G/3G cellular signals from reaching his smartphone = he should blame his bad luck in living in such a house. Remember, cellular signals are line-of-sight, similar to TV and Astro satellite signals.
....... He would have found this out if he had bought an about RM10 prepaid Starter pack from TM Unifi Mobile and did some testing or asked an existing TM Unifi Mobile customer friend to come to his house to do the testing. This is the fail-safe method before subscribing, ie celco's coverage map may not be sufficient guidance.

Of course, after looking at the celco's coverage map, people can also do such confirmation testing visually, ie see whether their residence is being blocked by high-rise buildings and go around their neighborhood to look for the nearest location of cell towers, which are usually erected on top of 4-storey shophouses.

Because of the above high-rise building blocking cell signals problem, judehow now wants to cancel his unlimited RM59(per month) TM Unifi Mobile subscription before the end of the 1-year contract = he needs to pay TM a few hundred ringgit to cancel. He is also asking other forummers what would happen if he refuses to pay TM.
