You wrote warranty not affected because changing the filter is an easy job. This is misleading, as changing engine oil is also an easy job, which no doubt you agree will void warranty.

Using your analogy, it is illogical to void engine warranty because we changed engine oil outside, more so since we choose the best oil money can buy.

In any case, it's not so much to changing filter ourselves. It's more to their system *not* showing you changed the filter at required interval.

I'm certainly not arguing with anyone, neither was I the one who suggested DIY-ing aircon filter will not void warranty.
He suggested filter changing is a simple job and he will laugh if warranty is affected by that.
If you read carefully what I wrote, the message is "just because it's a simple job does not mean HM won't void warranty". I even gave example of changing engine oil (which is a simple job but is guaranteed to get your warranty void).

I think we both agree that it's not so much of what you and I think. Rather, it's what HM think, that determines our warranty status.

Indeed. Alas, there's a Small Claim Tribunal which we the little people can seek help.
Back to the a/c filter, much as I hate to let SC do such a simple job, I look at the bigger picture. To file a case in tribunal will take up more time and effort compared to forking out the money for filter at SC.
Of course, others are free to disagree.

Apparently the heavier rear (becoz of hybrid battery) and larger wheels makes it a more stable car at high speeds compared to petrol versions. The DCT is also more responsive to acceleration as compared to CVT. The CVT is a real drag, even a Viva can accelerate faster than me.

Yes. Dont touch it! Just rinse with water is good enough, unless got birdshit hard stick onto windscreen. Then no choice have to remove and reapply. I only use for sidemirror glass and it does work but when my waifu unknowingly wash the glass with soap then wipe with cloth, all the coating effect is gone.

Not sure if this require amplifier for the 6.5'?

I see. I ask mainly its for protection against bird poo. Sometimes I work til late nights and I didn't realise got bird poo until few days later. Now on top my bonnet got a 10sen mark where the poo had eaten into my clearcoat. Any way to fix that spot?
