if i were you, just go for the test and wait for the letter if u get selected. its better for u to find out the possible junior college they're posting u to, cuz the environment differs with each colleges.

and besides, you really need to know what you're planning to do. if you want to read medicine, i'll say its better for u to take stpm or matrix, cuz using sg a-lvls and competing for a place in nus is really like hitting lottery; u have to go through tests and interviews (not 1 or 2 only, but quite a number). and din u read the newspaper? singapore health board now accepts medical degrees from UM and some another local uni to practise in sg. so, it means that u can work in sg if u graduated from there.

i heard the latest system is that MOE(ministry of education) will take each and every test u take for performance reference, so if you hit below some marks, you may get terminated. i've got friends who got terminated few months b4 a-lvls. so my friend had no choice but to continue on with the system and PAY for the education, which can be quite hefty.

so, all in all...it really depends on u. if you are adventurous and willing to take the challenge, go for it. i don't think that you'll lose out that easily, since you are in matrix.
