Matrix1) You're almost guaranteed a place in local U. Local U tuition fee is very very cheap, especially for medic and dental courses.
2) Exams are semester-based, and exam marks will include project work, so less burden compared to S'pore A-levels.
3) You cannot go overseas (some Uni accept Malaysian Matrix though). forget abt NUS, NTU, Hong Kong U, Cambridge, Oxford... You can go American Uni if you sit for SAT or/and TOEFL. However, there're always local pricate colleges accept Matrix, if you cannot get into your preferred courses in local U.
S'pore A-levels1) You will get a quality education, Thus, it will be much more stressful compared to Matrix.
2) You're not guaranteed a place in NTU/NUS/SMU. Even if you get it, you are not guaranted of a scholarship. Tuition fees are quite high, abt RM 60K for most of the courses.
3) You'll get a higher salary upon graduation in S'pore.
AVERAGE Starting salary abt
S'pore$ 2700, compared to RM 1800 in Malaysia.
If you're prepared to work hard for the next 10 years, ASEAN Scholarship would certaionly be a
BRILLIANT opprtunity for you.

Actually, if you go for Matriks and study hard and fraduate from UM, with some work experience, it is possible for you to find a job in Singapore. Asean scholarship is not really the best of the scholarships. You don't really get much of a headstart to a life in Singapore either. My friend is a very intelligent girl and she came back coz she couldn't handle the stress after a few months of studying in Singapore. You will be among all the Asean scholars and they are all very talented in many area and this may affect you psychologically. Beside that you'll have to actively participat ein coco and coco there is not like coco here. There is is really active and you may be back in your dorm by 6pm only.
You are not gurtantee any place in any SG Uni and your do not necessarily stand any higer chance of getting into one. Even if you do and qualify for the education grant)also know as asean scholarship for tertiary edu), you still will have to fork out a huge sum as the grant is only partial and you still have to work in SG for three years after that. And that is no job gurantee, you must find a job like any other singaporeans.
aiyo...don worry too much about it...
when the time comes..everything will be solved..
after years of being a scholar..i learned something..
brilliance is proportional to hardwork
and hardwork is proportional to pressure
so..brilliance is proportional to pressure..
for example..mayb not everyone can get into oxbridge..and ppl always scared they cant make it there due to the so called competition..
BUT the thing is..u'll change when u go there..when u're there..u'll adapt to that situation and culture..in the end..it is jus the same..so don worry too much about it
mumeichan's fren is somethin worth noticing...but oftenly..it happened bcoz of low self confidence..but why low self confidence? bcoz ppl lik some ppl here...lik to scare ppl lik u b4 u go..in the end...u lost even b4 u go
my exp tells me that those guai lou isnt that brilliant as some of us think..wat they got? wat they hav is only self confidence in which we're lacking in..when u're lacking of self confidence in front of ppl with high self confidence...of course u gonna listen 2 watever bullsh*t they say...in the end..of course they are better than u...
but being a scholar isnt that hard nor that easy..it is jus that u need 2 know how 2 adjust ur time..(not all the time though)..
jus go with the flow...if u get it..jus go..and c where it leads....and define your life yourself! there is no template for your path 2 adulthood..
