Then go for something with MX150/MX250 (not 10W):
Acer Swift 3 SF314-54G-52L8 / 59WJ +RAM
Acer Swift 3 SF315-51G-55UH / 56T6 - non-upgradeable RAM
HP Pavilion 15-CS0033TX / 15-CS2010TX - small battery

Btwn 1st n 2nd models, are they largely similar except the 2nd one can't upgrade ram? Cos 8gb of ram seem enough for me.. and isn't the hp model uses newer i5 n mx250? Not better?

TBH 2k budget is low for a decent new model, bump up to 2.5k if possible

Hi sifu, I'm interior architecture and looking for laptop.

Any recommended laptop for rendering?
Mainly focusing on rendering fast with better cooling, slim and light.

As checked online most of it are gaming laptop.
- price around RM 8k less or more
- CPU (as fast as it make rendering faster)
- Ram 32gb
- GPU (not that important as not gaming much)
- pcie ssd 256 at least and 1 or 2 TB HDD
- preferable 17.3 inch screen

Last time was checked MSI GS series but not really required for gaming tho =(
Any suggested laptop model? (Able to add on/top up)

Many laptops do have i7-9750H/8750H which is already fast, the issue is many of them don't have high power limit (most have 45W limit) / good cooling to maintain the turbo clock for a long time which is important in rendering

If you prefer 17 inch, I'll suggest Illegear Selenite or Rogue. High power limit out of the box and can maintain relatively high clock speed. Refer to my gaming laptop list for more options (if not later others say I bias)

Or go for workstation like Thinkpad P52. More expensive of course

Suggest upgrading RAM by yourself (get x1 16GB and upgrade another 16GB), same applies to storage

SF315-41G - non-upgradeable RAM, poor battery life, last gen Ryzen
SF314-55G - non-upgradeable RAM, limited cooling (10W MX150), high sRGB IPS
SF314-54/54G overall better, cheaper too

Different Ideapad model have different pros and cons

There are other slight differences of course like input devices quality since it's a different model

Yes, but don't buy from Acer directly (never buy at MSRP price)
