Hi Sifu, need some recommendation for the requirement as below.

1. Budget : Max 3.8k

2. Usage : office work, web surfing, video streaming and gaming (dota 2)

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
- Display size: 14 inches -15 inches.
- Battery life: around 4-5 hours or more
- Weight : < 2.5kg
- Brand: no preference but must be reliable and with warranty.
- with dGPU
- with SSD
- with 8GB Ram

Surveying on a decent laptop that can play the latest football games like PES 2019, FIFA 2019 smoothly. Been out of touch of the GPU nowadays. laugh.gif

1. Budget : Max 4k

2. Usage : gaming (PES 2019), Dying Light, State of Decay 2, FFX, PUBG

3. Requirements (display size, battery life, weight etc) :
- Display size: 15 inches.
- Battery life: does not matter, dont mind plugged in most of the time.
- Weight : does not matter
- Brand: No preference, as long as warranty coverage is good
- Processor: i5 is ok, but if possible i7
- Graphic card: able to run games above smoothly? Heard the benchmark nowadays for gaming laptop is gtx1050?

Actually the games you play don't require much powerful hardware

- hard disk: SSD , Capacity: minimum 128gb (optional +HDD)
- weight: prefer lightweight for portability
- processor: i5 (min 7th gen)
- RAM : min 4GB
- Graphic card: no preference, is it advisable?
- Brand: prefer Asus, Lenovo but open to reliable brands.

aim for lightweight and minimum lag (ultrabook)

it is better than those suggestion imo

Looking for a value for money laptop with a gtx1070. Acer predator looks value for money. Thoughts? Any other models?

- Battery life: does not matter, dont mind plugged in most of the time.

Hi sifus, recently thinking of purchasing a new laptop to replace my Lenovo Y510P.

Budget : 3-4k
Usage : able to run android studio, web browsing, video streaming, and gaming(D2, PUBG, Fortnite)
Requirements:
- Display size: 15 inches.
- Battery life: it's fine for me, but the longer the better
- Processor: i5 is enough for me.
- GPU: GTX1050ti / GTX1060 (as long as in the budget range will do)
- RAM: 16gb
- Weight : <2.5kg
- Brand: No preference, as long as warranty coverage is good
