bought it at FB market place.
so far so good, no telco issue or network issue.
your ipX have any problem?
*
Actually if you guys have a US unlocked/sim free set chances are you guys got the A1865 model which is technically “superior” than the A1901 model (Malaysia sets). The A1865 model supports the same number of networks and bands as the A1901 model with the addition of CDMA. The A1865, according to tests have a better modem as well compared to the A1901. (Qualcomm vs Intel).

In short there should not be any problems at all with local telcos and their networks, even if you use an iPhone X from Botswana or Nigeria or South Africa etc and vice versa.

iPhones are now global phones. In the past yes, iPhones from different countries or regions support different bands and stuff but not anymore.

i heard claim warranty here might have issue. need the help from reseller to settle warranty claim later. Unless if the are always reachable and helpful
*
No issue as long as your iPhone is factory unlocked/sim free. You can go check at the Malaysia warranty coverage page from Apple. As long as your warranty details appear there when you check, there will be no problems claiming warranty here.

Had this dilemma when I wanted to move from android to ios late last year. It was either pay for migration tool or lose everything.

In the end I used the ‘email chat’ feature in WhatsApp to send chat history and attachments for around 15 critical contacts to my email account. Can easily refer back to them now.

Yeah, that's what I do too every time I move from Android to iOS and back to Android again. It's tiresome, but it is a free workaround smile.gif

True, but then again, once the new stocks of X is depleted, your X becomes a limited edition since it has been discontinued from production. Maybe can still fetch a good price.

Sell the X now and upgrade to XS Max or keep the X and not buy the XS Max. Just need the bigger screen tbh. Everything else is practically the same haha.

I got the same deal as well when I bought my second 256GB X. RM3899 with RM150 tech voucher = RM3749 for the 256GB X. I previously bought one on shopee for RM3899 a couple weeks back before 11st had this deal.

Best deal ever.

You get the A1865 model with the Qualcomm modem, its brand new and a fresh 1 year warranty. Some second hand sets are going for even higher price than this.

I was previously using the 8 Plus and planned to upgrade to the Xs but after trying my friend's Xs and compared to my gf's X I immediately pulled the trigger.

Seriously if you have an X the Xs is just a complete waste of money. I felt no difference at all and all the so-called "improvements" are unnoticeable unless you look for them and test both side by side, such as slightly quicker loading on more intensive apps and just a fraction of a second quicker face ID unlock.

The only way to go from the X is the Xs Max if you are looking to upgrade. For me the ease of one handed operation is a must so the Xs Max was a no go. I could barely use the 8 Plus with one hand, now with the extended screen estate top and bottom, gg.

Agree with the lightweightness thumbup.gif

Its ok bro, hence in my post "superior" in inverted commas lol

You probably won't feel any difference in real world usage.

Bottomline is you shouldn't worry too much about US set or SG set or HK set or Thai set or Aus set or whatever set. As long as its factory unlocked you can use it no problems anywhere in the world including Malaysia because their all the same already.

A lot of people still have the old misconception that iPhones sold in different parts of the world are still made differently supporting different bands etc and will face network issues with local telcos or local networks.

Your A1901 US set is no different than any MY set out there.
