Hi TS,

I am going Hatyai next few weeks. I have few questions want to ask.

Q1. I have the VOC (original) and I don't need to go to JPJ to get "Maklumat Terperinci Kenderaan and Insurans"?

Q2. I need to print 2 copies of TM2 and TM3 and fill up (with normal hand writtings) before going in Hatyai right?

Q3. Should I need to prepare Malaysia Insurance Extension (Endorsement 101), and also Insurance cover note? What are they for?

Hi there,

For

Q1: You have the original VOC, that's it. Dont need to go JPJ for other documents.

Q2: Correct, Pint 2 copies of TM2 & TM3 because they will need to stamp immigration stamp for your arrival and departure during the trip on Thailand and the custom will collect it (arrival collect 1 piece of TM2 & TM3, departure collect 1 piece of TM2 & TM3)

Q3: If you have both, you can show it to them in during arrival office for the officer there to generate the Simplified Customs Declaration Form, I call it car permit that can grant you travel into Thailand by driving your car.
Insurance of course is to protect your car in case any bad thing happen to you and your car. Originally the car insurance you bought only cover you in the country of Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei je, so endorsement 101 is to extend the coverage to Thailand, but they will have some exception on your insurance side, so you need to call your insurance company and confirm about that.
Thailand insurance is compulsory, just in case u happen any accident with Thailand vehicle, this insurance will cover for you, but it will not cover your car if not mistaken.

Anyone recently travelled by car to Hatyai after the Covid pandemic?

Are the procedures still the same?

Like getting the authorisation letter signed, TM2, TM3, ...?

Any new additional procedures?

I just back from Hatyai short trip on 19th Jul 2022 by car (crossing Thai by Sadao border)

Yes, they added 1 more step when going into Thailand, which you can see in the attach image.

(1) - (New) Where you need to park you car at the road side, all passengers and driver need to go down, Scan an QR code and fill up your details and attached a print screen (.jpg) of your vaccination page. After press submit, it will give you a Thai Pass QR code.

After that, walk to the left a bit, there are a few staffs to scan your Thai Pass QR code, once scanned, the staff will stamp your white card.

(2) - (Process no change) If your white card not stamped, Thai custom will ask you to go back to (1).

(3) - (Process no change)

Wow thank you so much!

For no 1, do you print screen the yellow coloured vaccination page or the vaccination cert?

and where to collect the white card?

And when you return to Malaysia, the process is still the same?

I print screen from the PDF format.

I got the white card from the road side stall, those who help to fill up details for TM2,TM3, and white card. they also sell Thai car insurance.

Yes, for return to Malaysia, the process is still the same.

Thanks

For this part =
Scan an QR code and fill up your details and attached a print screen (.jpg) of your vaccination page.

Who will check it whether you attached correctly and does it take long for them to check?

Any recommendations on which road side stall to get the Thai car insurance?

That time nobody check what i attached.

Maybe the other staff who will scan your Thai Pass QR will check your uploaded screenshot..

Last time I used to go to Petronas station, but the latest I went to this location, very friendly Malay lady who help to cover every docs and they have Thai simcard as well.

Thanks for the recommendation.  notworthy.gif

But looks like a lot of cars will be parking by the roadside next to the stall too, right?
