The 2nd wheel is suitable.... but any wheel that has the similar structure is ok to use but condition is that it must be fully mesh coz those 1cm bar gaps are dangerous for the tails.

Petsmore at Petaling Street have rusty old ones.... not worth buying. Wangsa Maju Carrefour is different from the Kepong one.

Went to Pets Wonderland at MidValley just now.... sad sight..... there are gerbils for sale.... a few on display and mainly blacks and agoutis.... all same price lah, RM48 each.... then at the back of the counter got I think 2 litters of gerbil pups.... so small... like 1 month old all jumping to try and escape the small little tank. What makes it sad is that it seems the gerbils from PW are all inbred.... coz they have stopped taking the Holland stock in....

Hahah... gerbil destroyers.... aiyah, make a hole so you can hang the bottle from outside lah, easier mah. No need buy new bottle every time heheheh.

You can use provided you have another hamster food product. You can take it back to exchange.... if no choice, use loh. Since you have Harry Hamster as well, can lah... mix together should be fine.

Hahah.... now I tebuk all my tanks.... at first really sayang loh but then no choice hehehe.. all also chew my bottles.... I summore use those critter canteen, about Rm8.80 each...

Most petshops sell.... sand bath for hamsters.... do not purchase the dust type. If you go Pet Safari, got more variety. Pets Wonderland carries the dust bath.

If the temperature gets too hot, the gerbils will want to drink alot of water. They will start to breath heavily, the mouth will be very wet and they will drool to stay cool.

Today just finish cleaning LOL.... missed my Saturday cleaning. Anyway, managed to intro a new male clan..... female one needs to do split cage first hahaha.... my males all so friendly towards each other hahahah....

Anyway, will have 2 agouti females for adoption later in the month.... hope to find good non-breeding home for them.

Argente gerbils... hahaha... most of us have argente creams... but then I did have a very nice spotted argente... sold already.

Well, I sold all my argente and argente creams.... maybe Foo has... aahah.... wait lah.

Heard from Reanne that Pets Wonderland at MidValley got Argente.... but bloody nose really bad.... pay the price of RM48 for such a gerbil? Really not worth it.... Better wait for us breeders hahahah.

Females are harder to intro.... older females very dominant, sometimes can fight to death.... introduction can take months to do.

Hoho... sp DEH.... I still lack sp DEH loh.... I got many DEH but no sp DEH.... wuwuwuwu....

Gerbils are the best rodent pets lah hahah.... I really have fun with them. 1st started keeping at the end of year 2004... happy happy times with them.

Aspen is good.... mix it with Delikate then it is much more economical. Do bulk purchase can be cheaper loh.

No... gerbils are pretty clean. No need to panic. Just wash with soap and water, wash with a bit of detol.... dry it and use a plaster....
