Anyway, wanted to know, would you guys use a custom made wheel for your gerbils? If you guys visit Mr. Z's thread, the wheel for hedgehogs.... he is now asking for a smaller size for gerbils if we want loh.

For the mesh wheel.... see if can get or not from supplier.... I think if we all get 2, we would have enough demand for the supplier(Super Pet) to bring in..... I saw their catalog when jtl showed me..... nice lah that wheel.... really hope can bring in but if tak jadi, I think next best thing is the wheel we can get locally.

HAha... Go Garage Sales and find out lah. Coz I'm searching for wheels also, go high and low to find.... so we gonna try and see can get custom made wheels. If can't, will try and see if jtl can convince super pet to bring in the mesh wheel or not.

After seeing my gerbils run on the wheel, really lah, I think it is good for them. Also, the cutest thing is when they sleep on the wheel hahahah.

Fat memang nice to grab lah heehhe.... but if they are big with muscle, good loh. Fit and healthy....

Funny, when animals are fat, we all like to grab... but when human fat, nobody grab them also unless they are babies LOL.

Oh, it is not the hedgie wheel... that is 11 inches.... wanna get the 9 inch one loh. Coz now Mr.Z discussing with the supplier, see they can custom make or not. I went yesterday with him, hahah.... the supplier kept making weird faces, kept saying get the normal wheel better lah, why need so mah fan? But we explain loh, the legs can feel hurt if it gets inside the hole....

We ask for the mesh, she said too soft, cannot make wheel pulak, then said maybe can use the chicken mesh cage bars coz hard, I saw loh.... the hole still big enough for the leg to go in and can cause more damage than the normal wheel.

See how lah, now supplier discussing with the wheel manufacturer and see loh.

Yah... they would need to adjust.... well, Baxter have been taking water from Critter Canteen coz his parent's tank got 1.... but when I put him in a new tank to intro with Pringles, I used a small Habitrail bottle.

Don't worry, it would need some getting used to. Also, it would help if you keep touching the metal ball and push it often so the water will flow it easily. Coz normally when new, it is a bit difficult for the water to come out at 1st....

Silver is not suppose to be a big gerbil... He has buldges instead of muscle lah..... his weight should be 100g, that is his healthy weight.... I got ideal weight gerbils and some a bit underweight coz of clan hierarchy... no matter how much food or water is given, still got some look thin hhahah.... but Silver is just fat.

Also, I think he is old too....well, dunno lah since he was from a petshop and I gotten him as an adult. Bungee different lah, as Foo said, he was born big mah.

Prestige... always check the packaging if it is air tight. Sometimes the packaging can burst through handling and shipment but of course those staff do not know and never handle with care coz they don't know such thing will happen. So check if it is air tight, press the packaging and make sure no air sound is heard.

Yups... Hoppel Moppel can sometimes be dusty... that's why so far I have not bought.... sometimes it is the stock, sometimes it is the ingredients crumbling....

Could be she is sick. Take her out, put her in a single tank. Use tissue paper as bedding, give more food and also veggie to strengthen the immune system. Hope it will help her out. You can add vitamin drops for her.
