I wish I were to get that kind of treatment too. Even after visiting Menara TM. RM10 parking and 30 mins queue time.
EDIT: Not to mention paying RM249... They want to milk the people paying extra is it? Delaying our upgrade month by month?

Should I spend my own $ to get a new router or go to a kedai telekom to demand for a new router or demand a downgrade to 100mbps package? TM is making me really pissed off and TIME is now available in my condo. Should I switch to TIME?

I created 5 reports yesterday itself. All closed without anything happening. Maxis, Time or whichever new player can give me an offer even RM10 cheaper for 800Mbps and then 1Gbps next year can contact me...

He said also that probably certain users may not get full speed as TM infra lacks of support in certain area. Consumers probably get speed up to 500Mbps max only. If the users are on 800Mbps turbo, their max probably capped on 500Mbps at certain areas..

Better wait till October before making any decisions I guess..

TBH, this was something like what was said by some users in August to wait till September. Now we are asked to wait till October. In October, we will then be asked to wait till November. This will go on until June 2019. I was promised the upgrade today. Looks like I have to give Menara TM a visit later AGAIN bangwall.gif

I just received a call from unifi. They said they will send a technician over next Thursday to check everything and only THEN will they give me the upgrade.
They emphasized on the size of the upgrade (100-->800) and told me I will be bound to a 24 months contract again. Those who got TURBO-ed, are you under another 24 months contract? hmm.gif

Those who are overpaying beware. They are trying to renew your contract. Remember that once you are TURBO-ed, you are NOT REQUIRED TO RENEW CONTRACT. Almost got cheated... ranting.gif

Sorry folks, looks like 800Mbps is a fleeting "wired only" dream now. WiFi on my 68U still only 250Mbps, 300Mbps max between my Mac and Windows devices. Is it enough to justify the price I'm paying? The jury is out on that, not until I see the pricetag they're gonna slap me with.

Anybody have the Asus Rapture router with 800Mbps line? What kinda speeds are you getting on 5Ghz? Or other recommended routers for 800Mbps line, I'd appreciate any recommendations. going to LYP today to check for options.

Initially when you were getting 200++ Mbps were you using LAN cable or through wifi? What's the reason for their(technicians) visit?

I was also promised the TURBO upgrade in 2 weeks after visiting Menara TM. Went there again after 1 week just to make sure. Finally on the day they were supposed to upgrade my line, on the phone they wanted to renew my contract which I didn't want. I rushed to Menara TM to warn them subtly not to renew my contract. Now, Order (Modify) created BUT will only be completed after another 7 days.

EXPECTATION = 2 weeks
REALITY = 3 weeks (hopefully)

This Thursday I would hopefully get the TURBO upgrade. Once again HOPEFULLY they don't play play. Still don't know why they would actually need to send a technician over. They keep emphasizing that because I'm getting 800Mbps and that's why it's more critical? Will there be a case where any equipment or any part of the infrastructure/ hardware outside my house does not support up to gigabit speeds?

I waited for the promised 2 weeks, then 1 week for them to allocate a time slot for the technician to come(Haiz)
Total = 3 weeks to be TURBO-ED.
Went to Menara TM once every week just to make sure....

One month ago, I've requested to change my BTU/ONU. I've confirmed with them about the equipment change more than 10 times. Today, the technician came and said that my BTU info is not updated in the system...

MAYBE:

1) The system they check with is a separate system or has not been updated prior to the TURBO upgrade period

2) They didn't update bangwall.gif AKA lazy

Anyway........

I feel that you can use my case as an example and tell them off... Give them 15-30 mins to upgrade u on the spot. Tell them that you have already waited for 3 weeks. Sweet talk them. Look for Cik Akma or Cik Izzati (normally Counter 1) Just try la har.... They can do it very fast actually...

I had my BTU changed 1+ month ago after sweet talking at TMPoint Damansara Utama. From the one with 100Mbps Ethernet Ports to this with Gigabit Ethernet Ports. What's your PC's spec? I am using Core-i7 6700, 16GB Ram so my PC shouldn't be the bottleneck... (70+% CPU usage)
