Hey guys,

Just a quick question. My dad got the 300mb package and asked me to do a speed test on it. Well the speed has improved significantly from the usual 20mbps to 60~90 mbps.

However im still annoyed it couldn't break 100mbps yet. Or at least achieving 50% of the claimed speed. Need taikors here for some advice on how to fix this.

I'm using

Router: dir850l
Btu: huawei hg8240h

Oh ya I'm doing the test via wireless speed test. Could this be the reason why I'm losing so much speed?

There are a lot of things to check in order to use internet speed faster than 100Mbps.
Please read through the first post.

need an advise

I am currently on ancient VIP 10 (10MBPS) for RM149... with free channels.

I am thinking to change to 100mbps plan. 2 question.
- Will I get new set of BTU and TV BOX? should i request that first before change plan or after... the current one is very old and seems slowing down.
- Will i still be able to watch basic channel on my tv. Those TV1/2/3/etc

Thanks.,

1. NO unless it's faulty...
2. After migrate, yes for keep watching with your existing packs

There will renew 24-months contracts...

If I am not mistaken, when he subscribe to 100Mbps @RM129, he can choose Ruby or Varnam or Aneka pack. No more Basic pack.

Hi all, currently I have my old house number analog and unifi number. I was wondering if I can migrate my old number to my unifi number ?

Cos I m paying for both now and it’s not really In used. Anyone done it before?
*
How much are you paying for the old analog number?
If it is not fully utilised, just cancel it.

If want to migrate old analog number to Unifi Account, you have to check with TM Point.

you mean the free calls plan ?

Mine got the STD20 @RM20.
I asked them whether I can remove the 600 minutes call plan. They said can.
So, proceed to remove that call plan.

TM turbo-ed me to 300Mbps. My best speed after checking using LAN cable cat6 is 70Mbps and I'm still using router D'link DIR 850L provided by TM. Should I change router to achieve greater speed coz I read 850L does support 300Mbps, and should I use cat6 cable from router to my laptop only or even from the ONU box to router? Thanks
*
Your 850L router can support gigabit connection. Try other LAN cables first.
