Need to upgrade my asus N14UHP, since my unifi now is 500mbps.
I'm staying in a double storey terrace house, current router is at middle of first floor, most of the time I'm staying in my room. My pc located at the back of the house, and I connect a USB extender to place my wifi adapter near my room door.
I bet I have to upgrade my wireless adapter as well. Should I get a mesh setup or just go with single c2300. Mesh setup almost double the price of c2300?

Hi friends need some recommendation. Currently I have tplink ac2300, but the connection to my room is weak fluctuate between 40-120Mbps. I run a LAN cable to my pc for now.
I want to connect it to my game consoles and another pc, at first plan to just a switch then when I think again. My phone also not getting stable signal, should I just get another wifi router instead?
A switch cost less than 100, is there any ac router less than 200?

QUOTE(tachlio @ May 30 2021, 08:07 AM) Where is your router vs room location? Budget 200 AC router typically will also performance alike with your AC2300 only. Do consider direct go to AX ady I think distance from main router to my room doesn't matter anymore since i running a LAN cable to my room. Now I want to connect that cable to another second router in my room, that is the router I looking to purchase. My desktop and game console will run cable from the second router in my room, then my mobile device will connect to it wirelessly. My room is only like 150 sqft, so the router signal strength doesn't need to be super strong. If I buy a gigabit switch, then only my desktop and gaming console can connect to it, mobile device still have to connect to main router downstairs. QUOTE(tachlio @ May 30 2021, 09:15 PM) 2 router with same SSID (non mesh system) your device will had issue to seamless change each other. Else you need set 2nd router to different SSID then swap connection by your own. Yea so I looking for a budget router. like 80% of the time I'm in my room.
