QUOTE(ksuuk @ May 4 2021, 05:06 PM) AX73 -s official firmware is very old (2020-09-29) and without app (yes, there are still people without smartphone), is impossible to adjust home shield options and home shield pro options requires subscription. My goodness. Luckily haven't bought yet.Any other recommendation? Edit. Bro, saw this from the official website? ![]() This post has been edited by laihuhng: May 4 2021, 05:45 PM |

Please help with MESH setup.
Using Asus TUF-AX6000 in the living room, I'm able to get at least 1.5 Gbps and above around the same area. However, as soon as I go upstairs, I'm getting only about 300+ Mbps, in the master bedroom, just right above the living room where the router is. So, I'm thinking of buying another router to set it up as MESH. Read around and saw articles that a dual-band MESH will cut the speed by half unless it is a tri-band router. Is this true? What are the recommendations? And, can I mix and match with a WIFI 7 router? This post has been edited by laihuhng: Jun 9 2025, 06:57 PM |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Jun 9 2025, 07:26 PM) If you want to get 1.5Gbps upstairs over wireless backhaul, prepare to spend for those Tri-Band WiFi 7 models Roughly what is the improvement if I’m getting another router to pair with my AX6000 at upstairs? If another dual-band pairing with my existing router not helping, what is the recommended router you have in mind? |

QUOTE(blacktubi @ Sep 8 2025, 10:36 PM) Yea, the AX86U Pro is leaps and leaps ahead of the AC68U, in fact AC68U is totally outdated now, the only thing still good about it is the reliability and stability Is BE86U any better than AX86U PRO? In terms of range?I am an owner of a 10 years old orignal AC68U which still works, bought at around RM8XX back then IIRC I didn't track prices but check lazada as well, usually quite good deal on special day |
