Number of devices connected to LAN: Min 3/ Max 4
Number of devices connected to WiFi: Min 2/ Max 4
Internet Speed: Unifi 100mbps
Budget: up to RM500
Currently using TP-Link Archer C5 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router from TM. Router at ground floor.
1st flood WIFI signal weakened.
Any better wifi coverage router for Asus or TP-link brands? Or reasonable Mesh series can support min 3 lan port?

Before saw your reply, I just bought Archer AX10 at RM271.50 (after Lazada discount vouchers) after read your website. Actually only my wife will use WiFi from 1st floor which directly on top of the living room which router put. The rest all usage in ground floor. I think Mesh wifi system maybe my future upgrade since now only use unifi 100mpbs. Just bought yesterday from Lazada sales n not even send out. Lol Can't tell.... Should be better than Archer C5 that I used for few years. Helps a bit but does not solve the problem completely. |

Just received TPLink Archer AX10 today. I just follow the installation setup review done by blacktubi in his website.
The AX10 settings pretty simple but less security control as compare to my previous Archer C5. Maybe will updated more settings in next firmware update since the hardware is v1.2 n yet any firmware update so far.
Have not really tested the WiFi. 2.4Ghz is better 5ghz at 1st floor. However Wifi signal is better than C5.
For DNS settings, I not confused by the settings. There is two DNS settings showed. One is under ISP settings (unifi dns 202.188.18.188 & 1.9.1.9 n can't left blank). Another is under DHCP Server. I just put the Google dns in the DHCP Server settings n don't touch the ISP DNS. Am I right?

Your internet speed 30mph not sufficient to share out by so many device, especially your tvbox if connect thru LAN, it can survive but together with others may be problem. Gonna use the long weekend to set up stuffs, still need to work from home this week. |
