anyone know whether the GT-ac2900 ASUS ROG router is good or not?

I am finding a good replacement router for my unifi 800mbps.

House type: Landed cluster house
Size of house: 2 floors, 2800 sqf maybe
Features required: i dont know
Number of devices connected to WiFi: 6 or so (not all at once all the time)
Internet Speed: unifi 800mbps
Budget: 1-2k

but i have size requirement due to my tight table space. I found asus rog gt ac 2900 which meet my size requirement. Please do recommend me more and better routers

If you have a 2K budget, settle for something like the RT-AC86U twin pack AiMesh.  brows.gif

The only thing capable for 800Mbps mesh WiFi and it is the same size as GT-AC2900.

Unless you are comfortable to top up even further for the RT-AX92U with Wireless AX. This is even smaller than RT-AC86U but comes with Tri-Band.

One question. any difference between rog and non rog asus routers? in terms of game related
Well I am not really into games but i do like the ease of managing ports and stuffs for games in the future

Looking for the premium routers for my 800mbps unifi.

Not too big and bulky as my table can only hold a stock unifi router on it.

If budget is unlimited, 2 units of ASUS GT-BE98.

TP LINK BE85 any good? Because my house i think more than 4500 sq ft

maxis wifi 6E router / wifi 6 mesh barely give me any connection below the main router which is located upstairs

what information do i need in order to setup either tplink/asus routers ?

Because maxis 2gbps fibre doesnt seem to provide me anything. Just setup and left lol

Deco BE85 is an excellent product

But since you are asking best of the best, 2 unit of GT-BE98 on AiMesh

did you review it yet? in video

Before you venture into Tp Link products , better go survey in their forum and see if there's any complains or bugs first.

Tp Link slower in releasing new firmwares to add function to their lineups unless if its a critical issue, ASUS on the other hand has better firmware support for the long run and their antivirus which is free for life. TP link new products are homeshield and needs to be subscribed.

hmm you are the third person telling me this. My friends told me better get asus routers
