Yeah pictures 3, 6, 8 and 9 seem to be out of focus. In your signature, you are using a SB800 and I am sure the flash could have been used a little more efficiently to expose the flowers in picture 5.
Keep up the good work and continue to play around with your equipment.

Tough to get the right moment where the background lighting has to be bright enough so that the foreground person or subject will turn out as a silhouette.

Seems a tad underexposed for the first picture and for the 2nd picture, too much bokeh. Even the yellow bits of the flower is OOF. Also time to change your siggy since you bought your new toy already

QUOTE(xandman @ Oct 26 2007, 05:40 AM) shinchan... if not mistaken i m using f8 @ 1/60 ISO 200 any advice? btw this is my first time using the system...so no experience yet...any advice will be helpful...=) You might want to have a longer exposure since you are shooting at f8. Unless you do a soft fill-in flash for the flower.

Not too bad but still as mentioned earlier, the DoF is too shallow especially when it comes to product/food photography. The newer backgrounds are much better but because the DoF is too shallow, it doesn't really help blend the subject in.
