I'm aiming for that yellow iphone Xr.

Same processor as Xs? Awesome!

Slightly longer battery life than iphone 8+? Yes please.

Don't care about OLED screen, I'm happy as long as it has wide colour gamut.

Lower pixel count than Xs doesn't concern me either since it has the same 326 ppi as my iphone 7. As long as it's not blurer than my iphone 7, i'm good.

Only single rear camera? My iphone 7 is the same. Good enough for me.

That yellow iphone though....i need that yellow goodness in my life...

Could be slightly blurrer than the iPhone 7 bcos although same pixel count, the screen on the Xr bigger hmm.gif

Everything else for the iPhone XR is great, just the screen. Have to see the screen in person only can justify whether OK or not

The single lens camera still OK as this year it can do the same as the dual camera setup.

actually pricing wise XR is really good. It is even lower price than last year iPhone 8 and not even 8 plus.

I think the lack of 3D Touch will not affect the user experience, bcos not many ppl really use the 3D Touch (me included)
3GB RAM if android phone mayb a big let down, but IOS 3GB RAM still OK nod.gif

The only potential "let down" in my opinion will be the screen, but subject to real world viewing

I think the display cannot be that bad. if Apple dares to make the claim, it must be not bad indeed.
So far from the review of XR from those YouTubers who had attended the event and who had seen both XR and Xs display both in the real, and yet they have not immediately pointed out the display of XR is poorer comparing to the OLED one. It should be ok. Apple's LCD to date are all ok since they first introduce Retina display.

Yes agreed. 326 ppi is not bad at all. Just can’t view FHD videos as intended la.

Has it been confirmed the Xr will have less RAM than the Xs?

Some specifications of Apple devices never get formally announced. Most notably, the amount of RAM in each new iPhone isn’t revealed until the devices get benchmarked.

According to Geekbench 4, the iPhone XS and the XS Max both have 4 GB of RAM. The iPhone XR has 3 GB, the same as the iPhone X.

Ya, by this time next week there will be tear-down videos of the Xs and Xs Max so we'll know more by then. For the Xr we'll need to wait till next month biggrin.gif

Here's what the base Xr costs in selected countries, excluding taxes (or in some cases, tax refunds)

I think only HK, China and Macau version of XR comes with dual SIM capability. Other regions only with eSIM. Ours will most likely be the same as the version from Singapore

how widely are esim support in Singapore? hopefully, Msia follows HK dual sim capability. but in the long run, eSim is more convenient, no need kelam-kabut to find a pin to eject sim tray

Now it depends on the popularity of Iphone in our domestic market. If it catches on, maybe local telco will adopt eSIM

Yes it would be nice if our telcos introduced eSIM. Save my bro and I lots of trouble having to change SIM cards or carry 2 phones. Both of us too heavily into Apple ecosystem. Maybe it's time to reconsider.

Yeah, hoping these iPhones will kickstart the eSim just as iPhone 5 started the nano SIM trend.

So i guess for Malaysia market only got 1 physical sim slot with 1 built-in esim. Afaik only Maxis supported esim so far. Hopefully Apple inclusion of it will kickstart mainstream adoption. In this day and age there shouldn't be the need to visit brick and mortar service centers to get physical sim replacement when theres better option like the esim.

I heard that e-sim needs nano sim card before activate to your phone.
Otherwise no network allow you to set from phone to esim and remain on phone.
