McLaren finishes with a 1-2 victory.
They have been repeating their victories and with a win in Indianapolis, they are no match for any other team on any other track.
I guess they will be the champion this season.

Lewis did great. It was so good for a young driver like him and i am looking forward to what Alonso has to say in the press room..

Another 1-2 finish by Mclaren, they stole the show again although most of the action is from the back markers tongue.gif

Well, there was that time where Alonso was so close to Lewis and he tried to overtake him in turn 1.

Lewis did great responding to the threat, parking his car at the racing line before turning.

Hamilton tries to cool title talk

QUOTE
Lewis Hamilton maintains that he is still not thinking about winning the world championship, despite extending his points lead with his second consecutive race victory at Indianapolis.

The 22-year-old Briton beat McLaren team-mate Fernando Alonso in a straight fight on Sunday to move into a 10-point lead at the top of the drivers' standings.

He now patently has to be considered a real contender, if not the favourite, to clinch the title in his first season of Formula 1.

But Hamilton did his best to deflect the weight of expectations after his latest win, insisting that talk of the championship endgame is premature and that he hasn't changed his approach since the beginning of the year.

"I wouldn't say my goals have changed," he said.

"As I said, I came to the season with an open mind just trying to do a good job.

"Yes, we're seven races into the championship, I have to be smart and realise that I'm running at the front and there is a possibility of winning the championship.

"But I still think it's far, far too early to even think about it or get any hopes up.

"Anything can happen during the season; I just have to try and remain consistent and try to keep on winning.

"But, you know, as many points from each race is good for the team and also for me.

"So I'm sure that's what Fernando and I are going to try to do."

Despite his determination to keep a tight rein on expectations and take each race as it comes, Hamilton admits that his success - he has now finished on the podium in each of his first seven grands prix - has exceeded his wildest dreams.

"I never expected to... I hoped maybe I would get a podium at some point but I've been on the podium for the last seven races. It's just insane," he said.

"I find it very, very hard to come to terms with everything.

"So I'm not reading stuff that's going on in the papers, I'm just focusing on trying to enjoy it without any of the other stuff confusing me.

"But I don't think anyone expected me to do as well as I'm doing."

This kid is getting on my nerves.
Why?!
He just keeps winning and have been on the podium for several times in 7 races!
He must be one down to earth kind of guys or he is just good at the art of deflection.

Still not a bad thing as Lewis is getting comfortable with the media around him and the Macca team for once. Good to just hear him say anything.

JPM should just concentrate on his NASCAR rather than continue to observe the twist and turn in F1.

Hamilton crashes kart after charity auction

QUOTE
Lewis Hamilton crashed the go-kart that had been sold at a charity auction for £42,000 on Thursday. The 22-year-old championship leader has yet to make a mistake in a Grand Prix but during a demo in the kart around a specially constructed track in central London he lost control after clipping a barrier.

The contact flipped the go-kart around, but Hamilton emerged without injury. The damage to the kart was not at all significant though.

For once, Lewis has a taste of what the ground feels like eh. If anybody wants to beat him in a race, be it on Go-Kart tongue.gif
As he is still untouchable in the F1 GP....

Isnt it expected? Both drivers doing great, and both drivers topping the list of the WDC run, what could get better than this for Dennis and the McLaren team...

I think Alonso stand the same chance to Lewis to getting the WDC, and seems like the just focus on Lewis getting it eh... well, he is the most favorable one to get after all the countless podium appearances.

I am not sure if there is another interpretation in words but then it does feel a bit offensive wen he siad that he has always spoken of him and will continue to do so. Maybe he is trying to say that Lewis is a good driver and as his teammate, why must he refrain from saying anything about someone so close to him!?

'Sutil can be Hamilton's biggest rival'
QUOTE
Spyker F1 team boss Colin Kolles believes Adrian Sutil can become Lewis Hamilton's biggest rival on track. Lewis Hamilton is currently leading the Formula 1 championship and has been racing with Sutil in the Formula 3 series two years ago.

Hamilton has shocked the Formula 1 world this season as he finished his first seven races on the podium but F1's other rookie, Adrian Sutil, has also been doing well at Spyker defeating his team-mate Christijan Albers at various occasions.

To Spyker team boss Colin Kolles it is pretty clear. Sutil will become Hamilton's biggest challenge in Formula 1. "In Adrian Sutil we have the number one challenger to Lewis Hamilton," Kolles told PA. "But we have to provide our drivers with a better car so they can challenge. Adrian was Lewis Hamilton's former team-mate in Formula 3 so they know each other's strengths and they know each other's weaknesses.

"He is a promising young talent for us, but we have to be realistic with where we are at the moment in terms of the car. We are always working on improving the car and we need to provide him with a better car to compete against the best teams and drivers. Adrian is a big asset for the future. I believe in the future Adrian will be a big rival on the track to Lewis Hamilton."

I seriously do not understand the hype surrounding Sutil at the moment. His past has rather been an up down and mostly its a downturn. Still since that he was a teammate of Lewis doesnt means that he is better in anyway whistling.gif

Still do you think that he is that fit to be the next best rival to Lewis?
And the fact that they are comparing with his teammate to prove how good he is is just plain wrong... i mean a good driver doesnt do mistakes and has a complete concentration when driving on the track. This is what i seen from Lewis and about Sutil... doh.gif

Other teams are sandbagging? Heck, Sutil set the fastest time during the third practice of Monaco GP and he still ends up nearly last during qualifying.
Also, wet race is on the cards, which means many teams are testing wet weather setup
*
I do think that Alonso is on a different strategy to Lewis which explains the timing difference and moreover, its just practice time, and like the word itseld, its practice. So they must be trying out different tires, fuel load, etc....
However i doubt that the Maccas will be sandbagging because depending on the tires, it will be really hard to run those long laps especially on the white line ones...
You might just be true about the weather though... still its a random playcard for now.

Yep, I hated their commentary. And listen closely you hear they said "And SURELY Fernando Alonso will start at the back row of the grid with Takuma Sato"
The saddest thing is RTM delayed ITV's telecast untill 12 am tonight.

I wonder why is having a wet race makes it a lottery for Alonso...
All cars are on the same tires, and i think the most probable thing that can happen is team strategy differentiation and drivers are more exposed to committing errors..
