The Spyker team has dropped Christijan Albers as a race driver with immediate effect, GPUpdate.net can reveal exclusively. A decision on who will replace him at the next race at the Nurburgring has not yet been taken, according to Spyker F1 chief Michiel Mol.
"This has been one of the toughest decisions of my career," Mol told GPUpdate.net. "It's nothing to do with his talent as a racing driver, because we believe he is hugely talented. It's all down to one sponsor who has had financial difficulties."

"We haven't yet decided who will replace him," he added.

Either you've watching the wrong season or you're being ignorant.

Massa isn't perfect either. Look at Canada, he refuse to take the blame for his mistake. In France, he blame back markers. Alonso instead admit that his car was two slow and refuse to blame backmarkers when asked to comment on them. He also said it's the same for Kimi so the back markers makes no different. And that's why he's a 2 times world champion.

Kimi is doing his job just fine. If he isn't helping the team developing the car by actually driving it during testing, he wouldn't have been able to learn how to use it the way Michael always do with attacking the lap times when it matters most.

Just because Massa is slower and made a mistake in the past couple of race, it doesn't meant Ferrari is developing the car around Kimi. Why not face the fact that Massa made mistake? Kimi is different from Michael. He and Massa came into a team which is already at the top. Michael came to a midfield team, build the team back up to its winning ways and go further by winning them 5 championship, keeping Ferrari up there for as long as he could.

So why complain when Ferrari builds their team around their one and only hope season after season? Eddie had the chance and he blew it. Rubens is nowhere near championship material. If Rubens could bring Honda back up to the top and win the championship, I'm 101% sure Honda will be build around him. Will anyone complain against Honda then? I though so too

Unless you're working in Ferrari factory, you can't simply accuse them to be building the car around Kimi, just because Kimi is winning now. If you don't like kimi, too bad then but it still doesn't change the fact that Kimi is a good driver.

hahaha... when somebody comment abit about kimi,all ferrari will rise defend him...what mcchin mean is,kimi not doing development job as much as massa did,that's all...why not face the fact that kimi is lazy  @$$ drunken master ....he also doesn't say that kimi is a bad driver,it's he not helping as much as massa...ferrari did continue the development of the f2007 to suite kimi's driving style better,that's also a fact...

Ferrari's Kimi Raikkonen is hoping he can replicate his recent wins in France and Britain when he heads to Germany next week for the European Grand Prix. Raikkonen, who is currently 18 points adrift of championship leader Lewis Hamilton, is confident he can keep his title challenge on track at the Nurburgring.

"It was great to win two races in a row: the team and I needed that," the Finn explained to Ferrari's official website. "Let's hope we can make a hat-trick: just like in Magny-Cours and in Silverstone. It's time to succeed. The second part of the championship has begun and you can see how the performance pendulum is easily swinging from one side to the other. Obviously I want it to stay on our side and that I continue to win"

After making a mistake during qualifying at Silverstone and surrendering pole to Hamilton, Raikkonen is determined to improve his qualifying form at the next event in Germany. The Finn last clinched P1 at the season-opener in Melbourne back in March.

"Yes, it really bothered me, that I was not on pole," he commented. "We had an excellent strategy and the right pace, but I took the last corner too wide: you can make up some time with a line on the outside here but I exaggerated. It was my mistake and I have a hard time accepting errors like that. It was lucky that we didn't have to pay a price too high for that: it could have been easier for us, but in the end we made it."

Before the Nurburging race, Raikkonen will head to this week's multi-team test at Spa. He will take over driving duties from team mate Felipe Massa on Thursday.

The reason F1 cars were able to go faster on corners are as a result of more grip a.k.a TC.
Champ Car got no TC at all.
