sleep = power energy saving .
if the machine sleep , it means it wont do anything ...including producing heat ...
my friend done it so many times on his PowerBook G4 ...and still running fine
like Vista case , i think the machine never sleep . the machine will do the job even in sleep mode , including using more memory during the sleep mode .
wahahahahha

QUOTE(Timber @ May 31 2007, 12:41 PM) I'm using a PowerBook G4 and I always on sleep mode inregardless how long it is. Sometimes I just run the PowerBook 24/7 (sleep mode at night) for weeks only to restart when there is a security update or software installation (well, I like to try all those freewares) haha ..sounds like u running a server , but it's ok then ...my mbp also always like that , running 24 by 7 ...and i will reboot the machine if i run Onyx and maintainance check
