Hi all, is it still worth to buy Legion Y730 now ? Or better wait for Legion y740 ?

i think there be a quite a significant price differences since:
Lenovo Legion Y730 - GTX1050ti
Lenovo Legion Y740 - GTX2060

that is a considerable jump. i am still torn between Y540 and Y740 since the Y740 is thinner, the RGB looks really good, and finally the aluminium feel is nice.

Just afraid the price for Y740 might not affordable lol. Btw is there any huge difference in performance between Y530 and Y730 ?

I am also waiting more review for these 2 machine, so far hard to find any in depth review yet.

Performance depends on specs. Y730 has slightly better cooling btw

Well the RM 8,197.55 price is just ridiculous. The MSI gl63 with RTX 2060 is sure a bargain. Even with the same processor the MSI is 1.9k cheaper than that.

Bear in mind, msi gl series is entry level of gaming laptop (bulky and questionable quality). I believe that lenovo Y740 is aim toward slim notebook design like asus zephrus, msi gs series, illegear onyx, etc.

2. Y740 is not 'high end' actually, same goes to Onyx (TongFang GK5). They are designed to be cheaper than the high end models like Zephyrus, GS65, Aero etc but still maintain the portability and premium build material with some sacrifices

Y730 had 15% discount a few weeks ago...8% just standard promotion, yet it's still not worth the price

Y740 is expensive, only get it if you need the extra features like TB3

Im thinking to get the Y730 to replace my Acer Swift 5 for daily use on office and graphics work too, after seeing the price of Y740...

Budget 5k, prefer not so heavy but the weight of Y530 and Y730 is fine. Battery life is not very important. Use for office + graphic work + Web design together
Basically I will open 2 browser together around 10 to 20 tabs, with Adobe photoshop, illustrator Microsoft excel and text editor.
Previously used XPS15, but it's belong to company. Now need to find my own machine.
