Anyone planning to do their braces with Dr. Wong Mei Ling in Kajang please rethink your decision and seek a second opinion or third even. It's probably the one thing i regret the most in my life right now. Didn't know much about braces at the time so i went with what she suggested because she was so convincing. Started treatment with her in january and she extracted ONE upper premolar because my canine never came down fully ( so there's a little crowding there) . 6 months in, my face started looking sunken on one side, asymmetrical smile, wrinkles when i smile, nostril bigger on one side and my midline shifted so badly!!! when i consulted her about it, she got mad and raised her voice at me several times saying that is the only way to fix it . she never told me about the side effects. After that i went to two other orthos for a second opinion ( a little too late i know, but i just wanted validation that she's making a mistake) and they both agreed it is not ideal at all to extract that tooth. One even said how can a specialist make such a decision. Needless to say, that was all wasted time and $$ to have an irreversible damage done
Sigh, i just transferred to Dr. Reuben from WhiteSmile last month. . My current treatment now is to move my molars forward to close the gap instead of retracting my already retracted front teeth and correct the midline . I wanted to reopen the gap and have an implant put in but that is so costly and for some reason both orthos said they do not recommend it. Also i dont fancy living with metal in my gums for the rest of my life

Now i dont know how feasible it is to fix this becus my arch is so uneven, and narrow on one side due to extraction . I just got two screws and a wire appliance fit in the roof of my mouth to kind of move my teeth forward. it is the most painful thing ever and i am just so full of regret. Wishing i could just have a normal braces experience like everyone else without the need of all this worry and discomfort . my bite is completely off at the moment. Hope it'll get better eventually, if at all..
if your treatment requires extractions, please rethink it. I made the mistake of trusting my first ortho completely and did not research into it myself. Extractions change your face tremendously !! Well if you were a borderline case like me (minor crowding) and could have been done without extractions. Now when i smile, only 4 teeth show cus of over-retraction and my face just looks distorted from the side.

it's almost like i aged prematurely on one side and its definitely not natural @#$%%$&&*%^$#%@
